Situated on a pedestrianised street in Funchal, the apartment could not have a better location. The Old Town with its narrow cobbled streets, cable cars, farmers' market and lots of little restaurants is five minutes walk away. The large Pingo Doce supermarket is literally across the street. Turn left on leaving and a short walk brings you to the Cathedral area and the Marina. The apartment was well maintained and kept spotless by the cleaning ladies (special mention to Zita). Breakfast, consisting of ham, cheese, fruit juice, butter, jam, breadrolls etc was hung on the doorknob each morning. We loved the apartment, especially the location, and, having stayed for 3 weeks, would stay again in a heartbeat. Only downside was the lack of a toaster! That aside, we would recommend these apartments without reservation.

Excellent location in the city center, good cleaning, good room, well-equipped kitchen. Construction noise may occur from early morning to evening. Poor breakfast (tasteless roll and croissant, small bottle of juice, fruit and one slice of ham and cheese per person). You should leave breakfast without ordering in advance and make breakfast yourself or eat breakfast in the cafe-bakery downstairs. If you rent a car, it is very difficult to get a parking space for the night. The hotel does not have its own parking spaces. You can park your car in the parking garage of a nearby shopping center (about one euro per hour).

Fantastic location, supermarket with parking 1 min walk away, we hired a car during our stay so kept it in their car park (€10 overnight) locked at 11pm. Very clean, and serviced every day by a very friendly lady. Breakfast delivered between 7:30am-8. Juice, bread, ham, cheese, croissants, cake and fruit. Bed is very big and comfy. I would recommend keeping the windows shut overnight as it gets very noisy in the morning after about 5am. But the shutters and blackout blinds are excellent to make sure no light comes through in the early hours of the morning. Before visiting, I saw a review that said how small the apartment is but I could not disagree with that more, our apartment was very spacious and open. Only small complaint is I would bring a hairdryer as the one provided barely works (at least in the room I had) Also the air conditioning unit makes a constant noise whether it’s on or off which can make it quite difficult to sleep on the first night but you do get used to it. Having said that, I definitely would return here if I visited Madeira again. (I would just bring my own hairdyer!) The location is ideal and facilities are excellent.

Excelente opção no Funchal. Muito bem localizado, junto ao mercado dos lavradores, no centro do Funchal. Estacionamento disponível no Centro Comercial Arriaga. Limpeza Excelente, muito espaço e cozinha equipada com todos os itens necessários. Gel de banho disponível na casa de banho.
