The hotel is situated right next to the Furano skii course. We were able to rent our skii gear from the hotel's rental area and skii all day there. The experience was very close to the other Prince Hotel in Naeba. Very convenient and one-stop-shop of the skiing experience. However, it's pretty difficult to get to the hotel from the Furano city, as the shuttle services aren't very frequent, and that there's few forms of other public transport available. It's basically taxi-in taxi-out (around 3000 yen each trip).
The hotel itself was pretty spacious, though a bit old (it opened ~35 years ago). The in-room amenities are a little dated. That said, the main reason to stay here is probably skiing/snowboarding, so it doesn't matter that much.
The choice of restaurants in the hotel is quite limited. For dinner, it's basically either the buffet or the two very expensive restaurants. The buffet is alright and is seemingly a good deal compared to the restaurants, and hailing a taxi to the city. For breakfast, it's basically same as the dinner, but costs just half as much. The bread and milk here is wonderful.
