Arrived at this hotel, at around 9:30pm. There was no- one there to greet us, just our key with instructions,on the reception counter,on how to get to "Madonna" . So we climbed up 4 flights of really dimly lit stairs, to the top floor to go into "Madonna" the reason it's called "Madonna " is there is a picture of Madonna on one of the walls!! ..... That's it ! The room itself was big enough, and to a good clean standard. It contained a fridge - ( Empty) no bottle of water as was advertised at point of booking the room, nor was there any toiletries as advertised also, so the next morning we went down the 4 flight of stairs, to see someone at the reception ( there was a lady there, don't know who she was, never Introduced herself, of welcomed us to the hotel, ) however we explained about the no toiletries situation, so she provided us with a supermarket bottle of shower gel. Breakfast was OK, buffet/continental style, not enough hot items for me, only smoked sausage, and the girl offered scrambled egg when you were there. But plenty other items. The hotel was adequate for the time we were there, clean enough, breakfast OK, and in a really good location only 5 mins to the main streets. The just have to brush up on their customer service. I would return to gdansk, however, not this hotel.
