The location is excellent absolutely in the center and near all facilites you may need The reception staff was really friendly and helpful The room is nice and clean and have all the equipment needed For the price and location i highly recommend

Stayed for only 1 night. The staff were polite and helpful. The room was clean and enough for my needs. Close to city centre so very convenient for theatres, shops, restaurants. Although the room was basic it still had a drinks station additional heater if needed.

Check in was ok. The room was up steep stairs in an outer building and it was a bit of a faff getting in and out of the building door and up to the room, if you had any mobility challenges you would really struggle. The room was not clean, cheap mismatching furniture and the bathroom was filthy. I really didn't want to spend any time in the room as it felt grubby. I was on an overnight work trip and needed an early night. Around 10pm, shortly after I had settled for sleep, there was a fight outside the building and then what sounded like, a group of men entering the downstairs of the building block I was in and the shouting, banging and arguing started. I could hear the on duty receptionist trying to intervene and shouting he was calling the police. This continued on and off till around 2pm in the morning when the police did eventually come. I was really scared as the only way out of my room was down the stairs to the below floor where all this was going on. On checking out I mentioned this and was told that nothing was know about the situation and was told "I only came on duty this morning and don't know what happened". I followed up after my stay writing 4 times to the contact email, explaining what I had experienced and requested at the very least a partial refund and have never received a reply to this day...... it was the worst stay I have ever had anywhere in my 30 years of travel.

I checked in & checked out 10 minutes later. £162 for one night & the room was damaged, dilapidated & I didn’t feel safe. The public hair in the bed was the clincher. I booked another- lovely- hotel in the next street for £30 cheaper. I wasn’t offered a refund.

Beautiful building and excellent location! At first the area seemed a bit "scruffy", but it is in perfect proximity to everything you need - even 2 train stations..! The service is pleasant and helpful. The rooms are great and spacious with plenty of space to hang clothes. The shower is a bit "moldy", but works perfectly - once you manage to decode how to turn it on (and set the temperature...). All in all absolutely excellent place to stay if you are going to be in Glasgow for a few days!

Wish I read reviews before booking my husband for 2 nights because of its location. Customer service doesn’t exist; it’s one man show, the owner. Together with condescending, arrogant, rude receptionist called YJ, they take proud in their disgraceful contempt for guests. First night my 74 year old husband was unable to enter the hotel as door was locked and he went to the club next door to phone hotel reception since his mobile was out of charge. His mobility problem, due to bad degenerative arthritis and hip pain was interpreted by receptionist as being drunk because he saw him coming out of bar and “he smelled of alcohol”. My husband had few pints during dinner with friends. The accident in bathroom following his recent bowl cancer operation was also contributed to drunkenness and 250£ deposit was charged before access to his room the second night. This was returned to credit card instead of bank transfer reduced for bathroom cleaning costs. Booking confirmation from hotel website never confirmed, complaint unanswered. Any question in hostile and unpleasant communication with JY was answered “I am not going to discuss it with you”, finished with “I don’t want to see you again”. Best if you don’t meet these people really.
