Breakfast in a four-star superior without fresh fruit is not acceptable

We arrived by car, and after negotiating the streets of Grado arrived at the garage. The staff were amazing they unloaded the car. All the bags were put on a trolly and we only had to use the lift to reception. The staff here were very helpful and we were soon in our room with a large balcony. The breakfast was superb and dinning in the evening by the pool was great.The indoor pool was large and warm.

1. Worse customer service I have ever experienced in many a hotel around the world I have been to. They refused a simple request to prepare a simple salad with ham, cheese and bread which I could give to my friend when she arrived later that evening (note - they have their own restaurant in the hotel so this was such a simple request, it’s unbelievable they refused)
I was shocked and in disbelief the manager decided to call the police because I wanted to leave I was so disgusted and was willing to pay for the nights I had stayed but was not prepared to pay for the night I wanted to leave.
2. The manager is an ignorant person with zero customer service skills, and quite simply acted like a child in calling the police (all this with a smirk on his face)
Only after I made him apologise to me for the poor disgusting service and for calling the police for a minor dispute, then I settled the bill in full (even though I would not be staying there)
3. The room are so outdated and old. Much better places to stay in Grado.
I will never go back and never recommend this hotel.
It’s quite disgusting how they acted.

We were there in Oct 2021. The hotel was great 10-20 years ago. Although the rates are moderate, everything cries for renovation. The staff is friendly, no question. The restaurant on the top is so so. Nothing great. Generally I recommend to buy a copy of "Osterie d´Italia" and visit nice restaurants in the vicinity.

Ein besonderer Anlass hat uns bewogen, den 1. April besonders zu feieren......Wir haben im Hotel eine Suite gebucht und fanden diese Unterkunft perfekt. Die Ankunft in der Garage (Auto wurde geparkt), der Empfang an der Rezeption war herzlich. Die Gepäckstücke wurden zur Suite angeliefert. Die Suite hat noch den Touch aus der "Kaiserzeit" war unglaublich bequem ausgestattet; man hat sich wie zu Hause gefühlt. Flatscreen im "Wohnzimmer" und Schlafzimmer. Die Bar war perfektest gefüllt....... Bett äußerst bequem mit Pölstern nach Wahl. Ein sehr großer Balkon rundete das Ganze ab. Badezimmer sauber mit Bidet, flauschigen Handtüchern, Bademäntel und allen Shampoos die man benötigt. Frühstück in einem großen Raum, es waren alles Speisen vorhanden, die man sich wünscht. Sehr schön präsentiert. Das Personal freundlich und aufmerksam. Einzig der Barista tat mir leid, da dieser alles Kaffeesorten immer machen musste. Dadurch entstand leider eine Reihe, da man sich anstellen musste (wir haben Zeit, uns läuft nichts davon : ) ) Sehr einzigarten und äußerst köstlich war das Abendessen mit jeweils 2 verschiedenen 5-gängigen Menüs..............Es war optisch perfekt und für den Gaumen ein Genuß..... Insgesamt ein toller, gelungener Aufenthalt.......

Grosse Zimmer aber keines Falls modern bzw. zeitgemäß für ein 4 Sterne Hotel... Zimmer mit Teppichboden riechen modrig, Dusche Bad etc. sehr renovierungsbedürftig. Hallenbad Wasser viel zu kalt... Sauna ist lächerlich... 4 Sterne Superior??? Max. 3 Sterne. Frühstück war ok.

…. Ma ci siamo resi conto che , ogni mansione, ogni reparto, ogni Persona ha la sua peculiarità e la propria personalità. Ogni reparto, partendo dai facchini, finendo alla Direzione agisce,lavora ed opera per il bene del cliente e la buona riuscita della vacanza. È riduttivo per noi menzionare un reparto piuttosto che un altro , sono tutti egualmente validi: pulizia , camerieri , la cucina eccellente, la cortesia del maître, la disponibilità della reception , del bar , degli addetti al garage … tutti, nessuno escluso e ci scusiamo se abbiamo dimenticato di menzionare qualcuno. Non siamo stati pagati, non abbiamo avuto il soggiorno gratuito, siamo dei clienti che semplicemente hanno potuto apprezzare la cortesia e la professionalità dell’hotel Astoria di Grado. Struttura con qualche pecca nelle camere. Tapezzeria datata con qualche rottura. Per il resto perfetto, ottima posizione, ottimo servizio. Eravamo in mezza pensione, ottimo ristorante, molto bella la piscina con vista all'ultimo piano.

Bell'hotel storico, in parte ben ristrutturato (non tutti i bagni purtroppo, il nostro, junior suite, era completo, accappatoi ma non slippers, ma obsoleto e mal funzionante), ben posizionate in centro e dotato di molti servizi (garage sotterraneo, locale biciclette ben accessibile e servito, posti riservati in spiaggia, ma frigo bar vuoto ...). Discreto e con una vista stupenda il ristorante roof Settimo Cielo, tra l'altro ben servito; buona la colazione, variabilmente garbato ed efficace il personale nel complesso. Da tornarci e consigliare.
