African Safari Lodge is a true gem of the Eastern Cape. We were 4 couples and the staff went beyond the call of duty to make it a memorable experience for us. The game drive and riverboat cruise was a great experience also. The facilities are beautiful and I am looking forward to visiting again.

Dean is an amazing host and him and his team goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome for example we received a refreshing beverage on arrival. The lodge is very luxuries and neat with a spectacular view overlooking the river. A Big highlight for me was the fireplace in the living room which was very welcome in the month of July! We also went on a game drive where we saw a wide variety of wild animal and also went on a boat trip which added much adventure to our stay. We will definitely have to come back as this feels like paradise.

Friendly, professional staff who went out of their way to make our stay luxurious and comfortable. Beautiful rooms with breathtaking views, top class bedding, exquisite food, 5-star quality. Electric blankets were added on request. Highly recommended.

Absolute gem of a place nestled just outside of Makhanda. I only wish I had known about it years ago as for sure this will be the only place I will stay in the area. Wonderful rooms, super comfortable beds, pillows and power shower, stunning views overlooking the dam water, beautiful breakfast delivered to your verandah every morning and everyone could not do more to make your stay phenomenal. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Beautiful, exceptionally clean lodge with spacious rooms and welcoming, friendly staff who are willing to go the extra mile for guests. The lodge is a stunning treasure tucked away in the most serene environment, ideal for the nature lover. The food was fantastic and the service was exceptional with everything we asked for being delivered swiftly to our self catering units. Dean, the Lodge Manager was just amazing and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. I will never get over the breathtaking view we woke up to every morning! Thank you for making our stay so memorable!

Great venue, and just a wonderful place to chill and recharge. The staff were absolutely amazing, and the views from our deluxe suite were awe inspiring, to say the least. We can highly recommend this wonderful venue, and will be back soon to enjoy the comforts and tranquility that makes this place feel like home.

What an awesome place to be. The atmosphere it out of this world. It's tranquility is above and beyond excellent. My stay with my daughters during her graduation day. Our Champagne breakfast was lit. The view from our room to the beautiful dam was out of this world.

Close to Port Elizabeth ... our hosts Mike & Fay made our stay unforgetable ...Gift our chef spoiled us with awsome food ... a boat available for a river cruise ... canoes ... bass fishing .. open spaces for walking & cycling - game drives ... perfect place to rest & make special memories
