Hotel Casa San Francisco is an undiscovered gem that surpassed all my expectations located just two blocks from the central plaza in Granada. I was immediatley enchanted upon entering the lobby. With locally procured furnishings, attention to detail, air conditioning, up-to-date facilities and excellent wifi, my room was a sanitary of comfort. A delicious breakfast is included! Oh! Fresh fruit, yummy yogurt (locally made), granola, toast and plenty of coffee. The staff were incredible. It was clear from the get-go that they had found their niche working there. I had a "Buenos Dias" every morning with genuine smiles which warmed my heart and made me feel so welcome. It was apparent that wanted to ensure their guests enjoyed their stay (and I did!). Casa San Francisco's location is also superb as it is situated near both major attractions in town and the hidden ones (like Euro Ropa, a second hand store with great affordable used clothing). Every adventure consisting of walking through picturesque neighbourhood, visiting cultural landmarks, a carriage ride, was happily arranged by hotel staff. I would definitely recommend Casa San Francisco - it has a lovely and welcoming a**osphere. I will return to Granada and will definitely stay here again.

A really great stay.. The hotel is well equipped and clean. All of the staff are polite, friendly and very helpful. Great choice of breakfast all very tasty! Ask about the tours as their guides are excellent. Definitely recommend if you’re coming to Granada.

My first stay at this wonderful hotel was February 2007. It was lovely then and continues to provide excellent service to this day The location is perfect Just blocks from the main street filled with restaurants , bars, hotels and places to hear live music and dance. But far enough away to avoid the loud music .The staff are the best in Granada. Warm friendly and helpful for all your needs. Even when I had my own home I would always come back for the delicious breakfast two or three times a week.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa San Francisco! The rooms were comfortable and air conditioned. The pool was refreshing way to cool down after a very informative and fun walking tour given by Giovanni! You must do this! The convenience of the on sight restaurant was excellent and the breakfasts (menu order) were fabulous! Terry and Nancy were awesome hosts and the staff were so warm, fun and helpful. Highly recommend!!

My wife and I stayed at this hotel 13 years ago and we found it very sweet, with lovely personal service, so we decided to return with our kids. The hotel has expanded in that time, adding the adjacent building, and it looks as pretty as ever (if not more so). However, it didn't get off to a great start as our two rooms were very dusty. The restaurant is good, with good tapas options. And the location is also good - close to the action but away from the noise. It's hard to rate as I don't know the standards of comparable hotels in Granada, but it just didn't grab us as much as last time (maybe because our own expectations have changed over that time), as it just seemed to lack the personal connection. However, there is nothing wrong with the place, and I wouldn't want to steer others away from staying here.

Wonderful hotel with fantastic, hospitable staff and owners. Particular shout outs to Abraham, Antonio, and Jeffrey, who were always friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Yes, it's great value, yes, the breakfast is delicious, yes, the rooms are more than accommodating, and yes, the rooftop terrace was perfect for the midnight fireworks display on Chris**as eve. But if I could describe this establishment in one word, it would be this: character. Casa San Francisco has a story to tell. Its decor has a story. Its founders have a story (more than one, at that). Every decoration here is storied. This place is warm, charming, clean but not sterile. I'm thrilled to have had such a cozy place to spend my Chris**as in Granada.

For the pricing, this hotel is a gem! Very small clean, comfy hotel with all the amenities that a larger and pricier hotel would have! Hotel staff were bilingual to help those that don't speak Spanish. The restaurant menu offers many selections for your dining pleasure and at very resonable prices. The complimentray breakfast was excellent! The queen bed suite was very spacious and well laid out. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious too! We found this hotel very much to our liking and will be making this hotel "home" when we leave our home on the coast. For those International travelers, transportation arrangements can be made through the hotel to be picked up at MGA - Managua Airport!

Although the location of this hotel is perfect - close to all the attractions but off the blaring music and crowds on the main avenue of hotels - the attraction here is the a**osphere. Casa San Francisco attracts a significantly more educated and progressive clientele and treats its staff like family. It's a great feeling to know the people who are serving you are being paid and treated fairly. And the conversations in the dining hall are definitely elevated compared to other places we stayed during a 50 day trip to Nicaragua. The two sisters from the USA that own this place are deeply into local charities and other worthy projects. Their friends revolve around this hotel and if you stay here a while you'll be fortunate to meet some of them. We ran across Peace Corps workers and election judges there...the kind of caring and intelligent people we like to be around. Try to get into a conversation with Terry if you can and get a summary of her amazing life. We learned a lot there about Nicaragua and where else we should be exploring. The hotel itself is cute and well run. We'll be back.

Casa San Francisco is a charming hotel in a very nice section of Granada. It was in a good location, and the included breakfast was very nice. I especially enjoyed the Greek yogurt with dried fruit, granola and the best honey I have ever had the pleasure to try. Our room was perfectly nice and even included a small kitchenette. Our only disappoin**ent with the stay was that we had asked for a noon checkout instead of the customary eleven to await our shuttle to Leon and were told that would not be possible. It was admittedly a somewhat disappointing end to an otherwise very pleasurable stay.
