East Rock Inn

There were very few people staying here, so it was extremely quiet. That was nice. The room was clean. We had a king courtyard view. The courtyard is just the grassy area with chairs that surrounds the parking lot, so really, the view is of the parking lot. Our room was small, and we were disappointed that there were no chairs in the room. You had to sit on the bed to put on your shoes. The bathroom was very small, too, but the shower was a nice size. There is no one on site at the inn and no daily housekeeping. They send you a code to access your room. When we needed towels, we just texted to inform them. Towels were replaced in our room. The Chinese restaurant, Koi, is literally next door to the inn. We ate there the first night because it was so easy to walk to. We were surprised that the food was so delicious. There is a fridge and coffee pot in the room, and we drove into town each morning for breakfast. There are several great spots just a few minutes drive away.

Stayed in Rm#1ADA Enjoyed the stay immensely !!! Was Super Clean !! Yes pillows nice and Soft and my girlfriend Loved the Mattress support 👏👏color decor,,fantastic !! I’m a finish carpenter and the woodwork was well done!! One and only one recommendation would be the shower head was a little odd and difficult for my partner and myself to use,, I would recommend a shower head that pointed down ,, it might prevent the bathroom floor from flooding,, Look forward to staying with you at East rock Inn, anytime in the future visiting great Barrington,, Have a great day!!!

I want to live in this hotel forever. Between the comfortable beds, soft throw blankets, awesome pull out couch, and the 360 degree views, the East Rock Inn is beautiful, charming and special. I can’t wait til I go back there and in the meantime am telling all my friends about it!

Check-in and out was easy - you could just punch in the code that was sent via text and email. Neat old school-looking motor inn with all new touches. Everything was great except no chair in our room - but I expected that as the tradeoff was a great king bed - I 'd reserved the smallest little room for cost purposes and we were only going to to be there for an hour or two before bed and then leaving early the next day. In that hour or two, we sat outside in the Adirondack chairs and then we went to the fun town of Great Barrington and had a late dinner and the best ice cream in the Berkshires. The room was clean, modern, nicely appointed. The lighting was good enough to read in bed without straining- which isn't always true in many hotels. I met the owner who was quite friendly and who showed me a larger room and a suite with a fireplace, and the almost finished "lobby" which will have breakfast items and a bar as well as a comfy chair or two. So you can have more space for more money or less space for less money - depends on what you want. The interiors and exteriors were immaculate. We'd go again.

A very thoughtfully remodeled old-style motel. Lots of electrical plugs for charging all of our devices. A very good brand of instant coffee. Clean, quiet, set back from the road. Owners respond very promptly to text messages. The parking could not be more convenient, directly in front of the door to the room. We liked it so much that we booked again for two nights a week later.

This is without a doubt the nicest motel I've ever stayed in. Bed was comfy, and I had everything I needed that I rarely get even in a nice hotel--including a mini fridge, a tea kettle, and big soft fluffy towels. Check-in and check-out were super easy and the responsive staff was just a text message away. Can't wait to stay there again!
