Our first impression was how clean and well-maintained everything was—from the front desk to the small lounge area, the room, and the bathroom. The bed deserves a special mention—it was exceptionally comfortable, and we had a truly restful sleep. The bathroom, while compact, was dry, hygienic, and well-kept. The shower had strong water pressure and consistently hot water, which we really appreciated. The room also had a heating function in the air conditioner, making our stay warm and pleasant. We were also warmly welcomed by the staff. Although the lady who helped us with check-in and the gentleman at check-out didn’t speak much English, they were both very kind and had such friendly smiles. It made us feel genuinely welcome and comfortable throughout our stay.

Podczas rezerwacji podano 1 pokój, 2 sypialnie i łazienkę. W rzeczywistości był to 1 pokój z 2 łóżkami! Podczas sesji dziewczyna powiedziała, że ​​to nie jej wina 🤷♀️ Ściany są niesamowicie cienkie, a obok naszego pokoju są 2 pokoje/toaleta/prysznic – ciągłe trzaskanie drzwiami, rozmowy i spuszczanie wody w toalecie. ((((Niezależnie od tego, czy chcesz spać, czy nie, o 8 rano ktoś już trzaska drzwiami i krzyczy na korytarzu, a masz wrażenie, jakby ciągle walił w twoje drzwi – to aż słychać!!!

This is our 1st time having such a bad experience stay. We were asked via WhatsApp to provide our personal passport info and to pay hotel tax via a payment link in the WhatsApp, it was received well in advance before our check-in. We found this way is very unusual, and due to uncertainty whether the message was from the property , we declined to pay the tax upfront. Then the so-called property staff claimed we disrespect them. I found absurd as we have fully paid our accommodation and told them will fully pay the tax upon check-in, of which it was a small amount as compared to the total 3 nights stay rate. After checked in, we found only one toilet roll is given without any tissue. So we requested for an extra, and becoz the weather was warm, we asked for a thin bedsheet instead of a given duvet. The property staff said need to charge us £50 simply for a thin pc of bedsheet!! We found this is ridiculous and giving us an extra toilet roll, they were unhappy. What is the cost of a toilet roll as compared to the high rate stay of this property as compared to nearby accommodation? They gave us an under expectation unit, with no view (see photo) , which is so much difference from the advertised photo. They objected to change room for us even though we told them the safe deposit box is spoilt on the day after checking in. Goodness was that they wanted us to clear the trash bins to bring it to ground floor on our last day ! I havn’t encountered this at all even in dome AirBnB units. We asked for Trash bags as their bin has not bag, the property staff said they provide no trash bags! So how are we supposed to help them to clear the trash if no bags provided? U expect us to buy trash bag and help them to clean? Totally ridiculous! HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED as the unit is small , odd room layout

La Rambla, the Gothic Quarter, shops, restaurants, cafes, and public transport are all within easy walking distance. Because of this, getting around the city is simple and saves a lot of time. The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, providing everything needed for a good rest after a long day of exploring the city. The beds are cozy, the rooms are quiet, and the overall atmosphere is calm, which helps guests feel relaxed and at home. The air conditioning works well, which is especially important during warmer days in Barcelona. The staff at Hostal Levante are friendly, polite, and helpful. They are always ready to assist with any questions, provide useful information about the city, and help make the stay more enjoyable. Their positive attitude adds a lot to the overall experience. Another great point is the cleanliness of the hotel. Common areas and rooms are kept very clean, which gives a sense of care and professionalism. The building itself has a charming, traditional feel while still offering modern comfort. A very kind and welcoming woman at the reception who explained everything in detail; city maps and guides are also available on site. The room fully matches the photos and includes towels, a hairdryer, shower gel, and an air conditioner with adjustable temperature. Sound insulation is not perfect, but during our stay there were no noisy guests, so it did not affect our sleep. There is a shared fridge and microwave near the reception, which is very convenient. The location is excellent: a quiet and safe area with shops, cafés, and public transport nearby, and about a 35–40 minute walk to Sagrada Família at a relaxed pace. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for convenient, comfortable, and safe accommodation close to the city center.

Staff doesn’t speak English so if you don’t speak Spanish, you can use Google translate in your phone to communicate with them. There are two shared bathrooms. They have a pantry (free to use anytime but limited space) with free cold drinking water from water dispenser, hot water in an electric kettle, instant coffee and tea. Plates and mugs can be used too. They will knock on your door if you are making noises after midnight. Tax to be collected at the property can be paid using card. They are located in 1st floor and there is also small lift just for the luggages. Reception is 24/7 so we were able to check out early and leave our luggages which were stored in a closed room near the reception. Location is walking distance near Poble Sec metro station. The street of the hotel is being reconstructed so you can only walk on the sidewalks. Our room was just right outside the shared bathroom so it was really accessible. Felt safe as the receptionist is just there 24/7. Need to press Elkano doorbell to enter the building. Room was spacious for us 3 compared to the other Triple Room we booked during our Europe trip. This was the cheapest stay available during our dates and have mixed reviews. This was a good deal.

The room and public area are very new and clean which I like it so much. It is very suitable for friends and couple. Only sound proofing need to be improved. Overall it is truly worth with this price.

The location of the room for us was very poor, the adjacent street was particularly noisy, and the room next to us was renovated on time at 8 am every morning. Fortunately, we changed our room later. Sound insulation is not as good as expected, and I hear the sound of um ah ah every day. But the couple hotel can understand.

Les points négatif : Aucune isolation on entends tous ce qui se passe dans les autres chambres, le prix est élevé pour la qualité de l'hôtel. Manque de propreté, murs abîmés, effrité. Les toilettes et salle de bain laisse à desirer Les points positifs sont l'emplacement, l'amabilité du personnel, réception 24h/24h et le confort des lits/matelas.
