Dongpo Hotel

Don’t expect the most luxurious or fancy room. But it is still relatively clean, and I slept well. The air conditioning worked well and the room wasn’t stuffy. What wins is the location - you are seriously right at the heart of the action.

The hotel's location is excellent, surrounded by many restaurants and malls. The west lake is just behind the hotel. The biggest problem is the noise! Stayed 4 nites at the hotel and was awaken every morning at 7am+ by door banging sound and loud talking voice from the corridor. There was even one morning, at 6.11am, I heard an alarm, and thought it was fire alarm. Turned out to be someone has left their door opened and triggered the door alarm. All these noises can be heard clearly in the room. So, my advice for light sleepers, do consider this carefully.

Very convenient. Breakfast starts at 7am too late so did not get to try. The lobby abit smelly, corridor also got smoke smell. Lucky room don't have.

Great location right in front of West Lake center. Non smoking room is full of smoke. Very bad ventilation. Did not offer to switch rooms. Said it is a non-smoking already. Housekeeper came to spray away the smell. Ineffective. Downstairs reception is very friendly (uncle)

Super convenient location, close to everything. Rooms are clean and modern. We really enjoyed free in room tea station. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Overall great experience!

Excellent spot to stay for vacation and near to Xihu. Definitely will come again!

The location is perfect! It’s close to the metro (line 1) and right next to West Lake. The rooms were clean and did not smell like smoke. The concierge helped us get tickets for the amazing Songzhen show and a driver even picked us up. Next time we come to Hangzhou we will definitely stay and Dongpo. My one complaint is a lack of privacy in the bathrooms. The doors are clear.
