Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Fredericksburg, VA

Stayed 4 nights. Literally just needed a place to sleep.. mold around the tiles, plug to the shower is rustier then anything, water pressure sucks not to mention the tub spout wasnt even connected to the wall anymore. Carpet is beyond gross so wear shoes till you land in bed. Pillows are half the size as normal. A/c makes a lot of noise. Housekeeping is every 3 days so before leaving for the day(730am) i asked front desk to have housekeeping. Came back at 6 pm no housekeeping. Called down for towels and had to go get them myself. Breakfast was the only 5 stars i can give as it varies each day, was good enough to get us to lunch. Originally booked super 8 but cancelled as this hotel has an indoor pool. Called prior to booking to see if its open and they said yes but hot tub is closed( not a deal breaker).. went to the pool for 5 mins as no towels in sight, pizza and beer cans all over not to mention the water was super cloudy. Sooo if you just need a bed and hot shower this is it, if your picky about your amenities and housekeeping and all else go elsewhere.

The property was conveniently located near my route of travel. The exterior was clean and well kept. The interior furnishings were dated but clean and generally in good repair. The bed was comfortable and it was fairly quiet in the room. But the tub was rusty and old although clean. The breakfast was minimal. Scrambled eggs were gone by 8:30 and there were no more. But overall a decent stay for the location and cost.

The pool was not heated and after a long long drive I was looking forward to a relaxing swim. This was not the case because it was cold and there was a very loud family eating and drinking beer with kids jumping in the pool and screaming while the adults just sat and ate.

The hotel is dated with dark furniture, dark carpets, dark wood door frames, etc. Carpets in the room were stained, a room smelled old.

I was not able to stay because they do not take emotional support pet. From what I was able to see it looked like a nice hotel. I'll try again. The young lady that was there when I went to check in was very nice. That's all I can say though .

Kitchen staff are rather indifferent to doing their jobs. i.e. No bread for toast, no bacon, and out of regular coffee, but standing around watching people eating breakfast. Also, the front desk staff seems untrained: although they eventually tracked down a bathtub plug for my wife to use, they tried to excuse why ours was missing as to people take the plugs or they break. - This was a first for me, having stayed in many other hotels with bathtubs and the much needed bath plugs!

Bed was comfortable and room was clean but bathroom needs work. Face of the vanity was cracked and there was mold around the tub.

Our room was given to someone else who had actually booked a king size room, not a queen suite. So that didn’t set a good tone. Also, the reason I booked this specific hotel, the pool and hot tub, were closed!

Staff was friendly and helpful however the condition of the room was subpar. There were multiple stains on the furniture and carpet. Outlets were missing. There were no hangers in the closet. There was patchwork in the bathroom. We normally like to stay at Country Inn and Suites because of quality properties. However we could have stayed at a Motel 6 and had a nicer room.
