If you're looking for a fantastic place to stay near Park City, Black Rock is the perfect choice. The check-in process was quick and easy, and the entrance was beautifully designed. The unit itself was spacious, clean, and very inviting, with the added bonus of plenty of hot water. The kitchen had all the basic essentials you'd need. Beds were comfortable.
The free shuttle service to four major stops was incredibly convenient, especially since some reviews mentioned difficulties with Uber/Lyft. We didn't encounter any problems getting around to places the shuttle didn't reach.
The hotel staff were all friendly and knowledgeable about local activities. Ski rental is available onsite, but I recommend only renting skis there if you have your own transportation or plan to use the free shuttle to Park City or Deer Valley. We went to Woodward and had to Uber with our skis, which was inconvenient. Renting at Woodward would have been a better option.
The onsite restaurant's food wasn't the best; it was often slow to be served and a bit bland. However, the skillet cookie and ice cream were delicious. The bar was excellent, with Holly making fantastic drinks and being very friendly. They also have live entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights in the bar area.
Unfortunately, the pool wasn't working, but the hot tub was amazing.

We contacted Black mountain a few times before arriving about the room and our wants. Several times we were told that they had our notes but have not assigned our room yet. After we arrived and were assigned our room we discussed at the time and were told that we would be moved on Saturday and that someone would be contacting us. I was texted and I was told the same think but nothing was done. No movement. We stayed last year and had a wonderful experience and this time could have been communicated differently to have the same experience that we had before. We have already booked our flight and car rental again for next year for our birthday week back in Park City and we are currently looking for a possible different staying arrangement for our stay. We will see. I hope that you understand my thoughts on our experience and look forward the response . Thanks

Convenient location near Park City with free shuttle service to ski area! Large living space with full kitchen, coffee, and accommodating, friendly service. Highly recommend!!

Expensive compared to a Marriott or AirBnB if that is what you are looking for but this is so much more. The amenities and the service alone make this a a great deal. If you want to have n experience then this is the place to say. There is nothing bad to say about staying here only positives. My family loved it and. They are still talking about it asking when we can go back next. Do yourself a favor and try it out. You won’t be disappointed

We had a king room, double queen, and a pull out couch with 2 bathrooms and a kitchen . It was very spacious and fit 2 adults and 3 teens nicely. Appliances were all high end and we had brand new washer dryer. The pool and hot tub were great.

Our room was a beautiful one-bedroom apartment with full kitchen and living room with fireplace. We stayed for 5 days, ate at the restaurant, took the shuttle to downtown Park City and back. Overall, the accommodations are very nice, and the restaurant food is very good. My main feedback on room for improvement would be regarding service. Athough the waiter was friendly, he removed my husband's plate and brought us the bill while I was still finishing my food, and I'm not an unusually slow eater. It would have been better for him to wait until I was done, perhaps further training is needed. However, I would recommend this hotel.

Lovely property. Walls are thin. Transportation downtown was reliable and friendly. Game room was huge bonus for teen kids. Had a great time and would return.
