2Ndhomes Lux Kamppi Center Apt w Sauna

Apar**ent had zero luxury even though that's what 2ndhomes advertised. TV screen was broken and it had only a few never heard channels with a working signal. Bathroom had mould, sauna's temperature switch was broken and places you'd expect to be super clean, for example the oven, were just filthy. There was food stains on the kitchen island, the curtains were not hanging properly - the list goes on. I had to change the linens and wash pretty much everything before (and of course after) use. They also took 200€ extra at check-in as a guarantee which they were supposed to return. They haven't yet replied to my complaint or returned the 200€ pre-authorization to my bank account. I do not recommend 2ndhomes or this apar**ent except for the location.

Perfect location for summer stay with my daughter: so many excellent food choices and shopping options and attractions. Easy walk to the beach and the market for ferries and numerous museums as well as rail and busses (in the mall). It would be noisy in the morning with windows open in the summer, as the streets are cleaned at like 5 AM and construction started as well, but it was really quiet in the apar**ent with everything shut, and the AC worked great in the short times we used it. Balcony is as it looks, and it's really special. Easy to open windows. We really enjoyed the couch, chair, and dining table, people-watching below. The place was very clean and comfortable. Couple quirks: there were only 2 forks in the otherwise well-supplied kitchen. There are 2 microwaves, but only one worked. When we arrived, the place was very clean, but only one bed was made. Easy fix. Communication was very friendly and perfect (easy to organize a late checkout for 15 Euro an hour online), except they did not have a passkey for the direct-mall-access elevator, which I'd read about in other reviews. No problem. Overall, it was exceptional.

The apar**ent is in a fantastic location, and is easily accessed. The elevator can also take you straight to the ground floor of Kamppi shopping centre. The apar**ent has a spacious living-dining-kitchen area, and large balcony with table for 4, sofa and sun lounger. I was staying in July, and there was direct sunlight around 7-9pm. The bedrooms are OK size, and double bed (2 singles pushed together) was comfortable enough. Sauna is small but good. With a bit of inves**ent, this apar**ent could be so much better: - It is starting to show its age. Some cupboards and drawers broken. - The kitchen is poorly equipped. Crockery and glasses OK, but little and poor quality cooking equipment. Only 1 kitchen knife, no tin opener etc. Basics you would expect. - There is inadequate storage. The one cupboard in the bedroom is old and part-broken. The other bedroom has no storage at all. I was a solo traveller - if occupancy were 4 people you'd be living out of your luggage. (yet strangely the kitchen has 2 full-height fridge-freezers!) - Ceramic hob is old and takes a very long time to heat up, then stays too hot. - Balcony windows were absolutely filthy on the outside. Communication with property good. I would stay here again, but €2-3k could make this property great.
