Diamond Village & Suites

I really can't believe some of the stuff I'm reading from others ! We arrived tired, fed up and annoyed after a dreadful flight and an annoying car rental experience, in short just ready to blow a gasket! But were given the warmest of welcomes. All our annoyance disappeared instantly. The accommodation was superb and the setting wonderful. Our room was clean, cool and beautiful with a wonderful view and a great pool. We ate in the hotel a couple of times and the food was perfect. The bar was wonderful and the complex is in easy walking distance of the village which has a lovely selection of bars and restaurants. The staff are absolutely wonderful; very, very friendly and they really do go out of their way to help. In short one of the best places I've stayed. Bravo! And thank you to all at Diamond Villages.

First time on Crete so finding a hotel was a bit of a shot in the dark. Diamond Stone Suites didn't disappoint. The private pool was sheer luxury, the decor modern and the staff very helpful to us. Enjoyed being in Piskopiano as it's quieter than Hersonissos itself.

Upgraded from EasyJet basic to larger apartment with two balconies and good bath room and living/dining room. Excellent situation and still very good value for money. The hosts including Maria and her father were delightful. Had a great holiday and visited Karavi restaurant on the beach promenade everyday for loungers with beach view and an amazing lunch. Loved it.

We just spent 10 nights here in one of the new Stone Suites. We had a maisonette with private pool- perfect for 3. The hotel is spread across several buildings: an older building which house reception, bar, restaurant and main pool and smaller buildings which house stand alone suites with private pools. The team at the hotel were amazing. Breakfast was delicious. Our suite was large, with a main bedroom with balcony upstairs and a sitting room with large couch downstairs (perfect for our 13 yr old), terrace outside and the most importantly the pool.The hillside location gives excellent views of the sea, a great place to watch the sun rise and set. Hersonissou is at the bottom of the hill and extremely busy but up the hill is Old Hersonissou (about 20mins walking)which is quieter and full of lovely places te eat. Closer by (but also uphill) is Piskopiano, also lots of good places to eat. We had a wonderful holiday here, many thanks to the Team at Diamond Village

Sadly, same experience as other UK visitors. Arrived late to be told we had been upgraded. Driven by golf buggy 300m along road to separate apartment block. Shocked by the apartment we were given. Yes it was bigger but extremely dated and had none of the facilities we booked such as TV, WiFi, air conditioning or even a hairdryer! Overlooked building site 50m away. The pool & pool area dirty (dog poo!). Only us & another couple staying there (also from UK). Felt extremely isolated. My husband visited bar for quick beer at main complex when we arrived only to see rats running around. Luckily we had a great Jet2 rep who organised alternative accommodation elsewhere. She told us this has happened before. Reading trip advisor comments, this is only happening to UK visitors. Adam the Diamond Villager manager did offer an alternative room but within the same block of apartments! We couldn't get away from there quick enough! UK VISITORS BEWARE!!!

Didn't get what we paid for,same as other English couples,shoved in a disgusting place across the road,we booked our holiday 16 months in advance,food was dreadful,we paid for bed and breakfast,my partner went once I went 3 time so ended up buying food out,oh and the dog crap we reported on our 1st day was left there for 4 days and then only removed some of it,poorly treated as returning visitors,we will be expecting a full refund, oh and the mattress was filthy

Wonderfull place with the best staff! The cocktails at the poolbar are the best we ever had! Eddy makes them perfect! Very nice and friendly guy! The suite is super luxery and clean. The area is very quiet and within 5 minutes you are at the centre of the city.

Booked a studio in Diamond Village in May 2022, having visited previously for drinks and food when we were in Koutelefari in 2019 as it looked lovely. However a couple of weeks before our flight I saw all the terrible reviews and alarm bells started to ring. We emailed Diamond Village for reassurance that we were NOT going to be relocated. Three days before our flight they responded to say that due to expansion the studios were now in the 'Garden Block'. Our travel agent immediately contacted Jet2 who had not been made aware of this change. They immediately cancelled our booking and offered us an alternative (not much available at this late stage) or a refund. Pleased to say that the alternative - Dream Village - is lovely! So glad we gave this hotel a body swerve and were able to enjoy our holiday. Jet2 were great. Very naughty of them to move people to different accommodation to what Jet2 had advertised.

AVOID!! This owner is putting UK visitors in nearby apartments which they are trying to claim is part of Diamond Village: they are very basic, pool but no bar (food or drinks) and gardens not maintained but do have added extras from the dog!! No apology when we moved; fortunately our tour operator who weren't aware what the owners were doing, were amazing and as a result we moved & had a great holiday. Shame as great location but the staf
