Riviera Resort

We just returned from a one week stay at Riviera Resort. We couldn't fault anything this time round. The pool and spa were heated to a beautiful temperature, I couldn't keep the kids out! There was soft music playing around the pool which made it very relaxing. The grounds were immaculate and the room was spacious. The manager Tor and his family do a wonderful job. We can't wait to return.

What a very pleasant stay at the Riveria Resort. Upon arriving, I was greeted by Tor & his lovely wife Yumei. Tor helped me with my luggage to my very quaint apar**ent looking over to the ⛱️ It was a very clean modern floor board apar**ent with lovely local canvas paintings & little trinkets suiting it's beach theme. The location was great! Close walk to the icecreamery, fish n chips. There is a restaurant in the resort owned by a very nice French man that looked lovely upon looking. I had already made plans for another restaurant to take Mum for her Birthday to another restaurant on the beach and made the most if the local fresh produce, and abundant fresh seafood. I look forward to dining here with Mum the next stay. Thank you Tor & Yumei for your kind hospitality & the lovely room you organised. Mum and I enjoyed swimming in the pool in the afternoon, & you take great pride in maintaining its cleanliness Tor that I noticed each morning frim my balcony you were out taking pride in the cleanliness of your oasis out there amongst the beautiful tropical 🌴 I look forward to staying with you next time. Booked 3 nights. Apar**ent is a bit dated but clean. Amenities on site are very good and well maintained. Across the road from the waterfront, no view which is the same all along Esplanade due to the trees.

We are long time Riviera fans, and this year we took an extended four week break here - and it’s been absolutely sensational. There is no better accommodation in Hervey Bay - the apar**ents are great (and spotlessly clean), the pool is the perfect temperature (and also spotlessly clean), it’s right across the road from the beach and it has the added bonus of a delicious restaurant on the ground floor. We’ve already booked again for next year, and we’re not alone - there are other families we see in the pool each year! There’s no better review than returning custom, and you’ll find plenty of it here.

Loved the location and space. Found the place cleanish but dated. We found toddler socks in our daughters bed which prompted us to wash the linen. We were also told by a resident not to splash in the pool. My children are respectful and we did our best but ultimately decided to stick to the beach. We could not connect to the wifi and despite the tv being Netflix compatible could not get it to work. Curtains and carpet could do with a major deep clean and the peeling paint in our apar**ent needs to be addressed

My grand parents used to be the manager here I miss this place I hope it's doing well because I loved visiting them every school holidays and this place was close to the beach and the manager room to stay in is really nice because I got my own bedroom and they were really nice but retired from this place

Management has no people skills and very unprofessional. We booked a 3 bedroom and my niece and sister booked two 2 bedrooms to celebrate my husband's 70th. In the reply to Nicole from Bronwyn so many lies have been told. I told Bronwyn that there were 5 adults and 2 children in my booking right from the very first phone call to her. We did not just turn up with extra people (just 1 child which was approved by previous manager). She said she would notify the MFB of extra person and allow the extra guest. (Lie 1). She commented to me that the previous managers did everything wrong. I received a SMS from her re no glass in pool which I replied glasses were plastic. My son-in-law also told Gavin when asked that they were plastic. She could have spoken to me directly that morning when I saw her instead of a snarl. With regard to my sister (who uses a walker) and had her own room booked, I find it hard to believe Bronwyn said she wasn't made aware she needed assistance. It's a bit hard not to notice a walker! (Lie 2). The fire alarm fiasco was very distressing to all. AT NO STAGE was my sister left alone! Her daughter stayed with her the whole time on the balcony and a resident advised her to do this as alarm goes off all the time. Her son took the 4 children down to the assembly area (Lie 3). My sister was booked on Level 4 and my niece Level 5. Asked for ground floor but told nothing available. My family were all very upset with the pool episode and how Management would not show them their supposed proof on cctv. My nephew is in remission from cancer and previously worked at a hospital. There is no way he would do such a thing especially with his nieces and nephews in the pool or at any time! (Lie 4). Last but not least Massive Discounts!! We got the usual 10% off for return visitors so not massive (Lie 5). Disrespect was what we were shown and as paying guests were treated appallingly. Not even a hello or smile. No wonder they didn't keep their jobs at Rainbow Beach but of course the new owners aren't doing as good a job as they did according to Bronwyn. Will never return whilst they are so called managing. We know who tells lies and is unbelievable.

I will never stay here again. I came with my four children and extended family. Firstly the fire alarm went off. I stayed with my elderly mum on the balcony who needs a walker to assist her. My brother notified the MFB when they arrived that we were there. Lucky it was a false alarm but management claimed they didn't know she needed assistance. Lie! My children, myself and my brother were swimming in the pool. My kids had goggles on and found poo on the bottom of the pool. We said that it couldn't have been poo. My brother dove in the water to check and sure enough it was poo. When we enquired a few days later if the pool was open, we were told that my brother could not go in the pool as they were blaming him. I was appalled by this accusation and went to speak to management. They then blamed my kids. If they had of done their job properly and kept the pool clean, they wouldn't have anyone to blame. I'm absolutely devastated with the customer service we have received and the blame and lies. Management should be ashamed.

We recently stayed at the resort in Apar**ent #17. The apar**ent (3 bed/ensuite) itself was HUGE! Very generous & well thought out. The bedrooms were well equiped however it was cool in the evenings and only a very thin blanket was provided, there were only sheets on the beds. No where near enough. We ended up buying quilts to keep us warm. On arrival the reception staff were friendly and welcoming. Resort is old but clean & tidy. Dated is probably a better way to describe it. Prior to arrival I checked the website and it said our room had a TV & DVD player however no DVD player was supplied. Reception staff found one for us in a cupboard which was fantastic! Internet/Wifi was pretty good. We were able to stream movies & shows. Overall we were really happy with our stay and would definitely stay again.
