My family and I recently traveled to High Springs to lay my Grandfather to rest and decided to stay at the Blue Gem as it was right down the road from his home. It was a very pleasent place to stay. It is updated, very quiet, very clean, great price, and just a cute little place to stay if you ever have to travel to the area. The Florida Springs are right down the road and the little town is really neat to visit. Ive been going there for over 40 years since I was a little girl and I would recommend this little Gem to anyone staying in the area for sure. Next time we visit we will definitly be staying here again:)

Restorations of this vintage motel create an appealing atomosphere. Just slow down a relax at the Blue Gem.

No hot water in the shower, either for evening or morning. A one inch gap under the door to the room that I had to stuff with pillows.

Renovated rooms are clean and comfy.. Everything you need, including coffee maker in the room, bottled water and toiletries! Great for the price!

My husband and I love the BlueGem. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. The rooms are huge!, clean and comfortable. The property could use some updating but nothing that’s a big deal. This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed here and will do so again

Was surprisingly pleased with my last minute reservation.
The location was perfect for my family visit, the accommodations were clean and more than adequate for my needs, the staff was very pleasant and I loved the gazebo playground with many life size games that were available for all to enjoy!
