Aurora Cabins

Located near to city of Hofn around 5 minutes drive Has a kitchen so its great to prepare your own meals. Toilet is clean and spacious. Stayed in 4 person unit. Only living room has the AC which is only helpful for the bed located in the main area. The room where 3 people share does not have AC and during summer opening windows may attract bugs into the rooms. Grill is provided but remember to bring your lighter

단독으로 있는 캐빈이고 주변에 조용하고 좋습니다. 주방이 좀 좁긴하지만 대부분의 주방 용품과 소스가 구비되어 있었고 사용하기에도 좋았어요 전자렌지에 그 전 여행객이 남기고 간듯한 커피가 남아있었고 머리카락이 간혹 있는편이 였습니다 그치만 가족이나 3명이상 인원이 사용하기에 좋았어요 언덕에 만들어놓으신 포토존도 좋았습니다.

More of a basic cabin than anything. No dishwasher or TV, but great place to view auroras and surrounding scenery a few km from Hofn. Beds comfortable but needs some more (or bigger) pillows. Near Junction of Hofn Rd with Hringvegur, so some road noise (but not a heap)

A nice retreat in a quiet part of Iceland. We spent 2 nights here on our recent trip to Iceland. The cabins are just a short drive from Hofn, where you can find groceries, restaurants and a well equipped public pool (we highly recommend checking it out, our 2yo had a blast there with the baby water slide). The best bonus? A same day laundry service in town to help us wash all our winter gear before we continue on the second half of our trip! We stayed at the family cabin, the set up is 1 queen size bed and 1 twin bed in the sectioned off bedroom with a door. There is another twin bed opposite the bathroom. There is a studio apartment style kitchen with a dinner table, some simple seasonings, and an outdoor gas grill. We managed to cook our meals here easily for the 2 nights we stayed. The cabins are quiet, we enjoyed the scenery. The water heater had plenty of water for our family of three. The radiators kept us cozy and warm all night, we didnt even need blankets. We felt very relaxed here and would return should we find ourselves in Iceland again.

New !! Modern !! Wow--- smell of fresh paint, clean, spotless, comfy, spacious. Check-in was super easy as we received an email with instructions to the cabin and keys. Would have loved the instructions on same email for locking door-handle, and for usage of stove. Instructions were available, but after you arrive, settle down and read the welcome booklet. We used a Youtube video to figure out how to use the stove. This brand isn't available in North America and was foreign to me. Took us 1/2 hour late at night to figure out stove. Would have loved to have an oven. Small fridge.

One of the best places we have stayed in Iceland, individual cabins with all the comforts. The keys are left in a box that you open with the code they send you when you make the reservation, then when you check out you leave the keys in the same box. Inside you have books with lots of information to make you stay a great experience. Our cabin was like a studio but spacious, with a large and super comfortable bed, a small living room, bathroom, kitchen, and a table to sit quietly. They even have a grill outside so you can barbecue if you wish. Here we spent some of the best nights since the first night early in the morning we could enjoy the beautiful Aurora Borealis in all its immensity and intensity since there is no light pollution around, although the town of Hofn is very close in case you need anything. I hope one day to come back to stay here again.

Great time,as its a smaller ship we got in everywhere as planned,staff are friendly and helpful. We had the drinks package and definitely put it to good use,plenty cocktails on the list I tried them all. Happy to go back on this ship again.

We stayed for one night in one of the cabins. We received a code for retrieving the key and there was a handy notebook with information about the area in our cabin. Upon leaving, you just return the key to the lockbox. The location is close enough to Hofn that going in to eat just takes a few minutes. The cabin itself was well appointed and worked well for the two of us. We just stayed for one night so the value for us was modest. It is located just off the Ring Road which was a tiny bit distracting. We visited during the peak of summer (so no chance at an aurora for us) and loads of light throughout the cabin (my eye mask was helpful). Overall, this was a very convenient stop over and a nice view. A great option for a place to spend the night if driving the Ring Road.

The Aurora Cabin was simply wonderful! The location couldn't be better, in front of these beautiful mountains! The Cabins has an incredible peace and delightful view of the Icelandic landscape. The cabin is very big and super comfy. The bedroom and common spaces have a perfect, comfortable and super spacious structure. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom impeccable and functional! The best part was the amazing view of the landscape! We loved! Highly recommended, truly an amazing experience!
