Our family of four recently had an unforgettable experience at the Hokitika Fire Station. Housed in a beautifully restored 150-year-old fire station, the hotel combines heritage features with modern amenities. Upon arrival, we were struck by the cleanliness throughout the property. The staff take great pride in maintaining a high standard. We stayed in the Chief Millard room, which was conveniently located on the ground floor, and was very spacious and elegantly furnished. The beds were comfortable, and the quality of the furnishings and linens exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail in every aspect of the room design was impressive. The hotel’s central location allowed us to explore Hokitika easily. If you’re looking for a charming and unique place to stay in Hokitika, the Hokitika Fire Station is an absolute gem.

Loved Hokitika what a wonderful little town and really nice people. The fire Station was so well done and the owners should be commended for a great job. There are lots of little restaurants nearby and also a Kiwi house down the road and for Bokke there is a restaurant there for them as well

Everyone has to stay at this hotel at least once it’s offers more than in the website The room was very clean the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom areas are just perfect If I had one question would be the placement of the tv but this wasn’t a big issue as we were travelling

The Hokitika fire station boutique accommodation is a wonderful place don’t get me wrong but we had are ups and downs there. We were staying in chief hernshaws room with 3 bedrooms cause we’re a 6 people family very comfortable beds but at 5.20 AM the fire alarm went off. We where out there for a while until the fire fighters came and that was really the end of are stay overall lovely place highly recommended it

Fantastic room well designed with lovely furnishings. Standout of our NZ trip. Enjoyed the coffee machine and the kitchen facilities. Excellent presentation with a futuristic vibe but integrating the old fire station memorabilia. Congratulations on a wonderful offering.

This place is awesome! The quality that it has been built is very high, the layout is brilliant and the artwork and ammenities are bang on, very cool place to stay in Hokitika, wish we could have stayed longer! The fire trucks parked outside are a great little added feature! Nice work team!

The location is excellent and the building is very unique. Loved the ease of booking and check in. We stayed in the Chief Thompson room. This was well appointed modern industrial look. The bed is comfy and the amenities in the room are excellent. We had a kitchenette in our room with a coffee machine. The room is spacious and stull cosy. Very comfortable accomodation and a hidden gem. Would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be back! Thanks for a memorable stay

Hokitika est une petite ville sympa, la localisation de cet hébergement est top car vous pourrez marcher voir le coucher du soleil. Il se trouve aussi à cote du supermarché ou des restaus selon vos envies. Il y a tout ce qu’il faut dans un décor original, ça change de dormir dans une ancienne station de pompier.

Ein Apartment der Superklasse! Toll eingerichtet, sauber und modern. Hat alles, was es braucht und noch das gewisse „Etwas“! Wir waren im „Chief MacFarlane“ - Apartment und da wäre ich gerne länger geblieben! Ruhig gelegen und doch in wenigen Minuten am Strand oder bei den Bars und Läden. Sehr einfaches Einchecken. Laundry vorhanden.
