Amazing boutique resort. Excellent service. Beto, Benjamin and Miguel provided outstanding service in the bar and restaurant. Smaller intimate place, great pool and excellent beach. Loved the free breakfast. Rooms 7-10 have great views

Surely the best hotel in Holbox. Absolutely amazing place. The best stay from start to finish. A lovely welcome after a 17 hour journey to get here. Beautiful room, really big and stylish decor. Pool area is bliss and the pool is a great size. The staff are so helpful and welcoming. Benjamin looked after us in the restaurant, but they were all so nice from checking in until leaving. Every time they are happy and helpful. Food was amazing, plenty of choice and delicious. Best food we had on the island. Beach is stunning and clean. Lots of little surprise courtesy extras and an incredible courtesy boat trip which made us feel special and valued as a customer. Thank you everyone at Villas Caracol for giving us the most wonderful holiday. I would recommend anyone coming to Holbox to stay at Villas Caracol.

Fabulous location. Great vibe to the rooms and hotel. Excellent breakfast and food all round. The staff were really friendly and helpful. It is a fifteen minute walk along the beach to the town. And the sunsets each evening with the sun dipping into the sea are wonderful. Just a fabulous place with lovely beach vibes.

Amazing place with the nicest people! Great service, delicious food and drinks, right in front of the sea and there's also a nice pool! The rooms are big, with A/C and TV, very comfy! Just beware of funny racoons that are smart enough to open the balcony door to your room to steal some snacks!...

Excellent! This is an ideal romantic getaway on a tranquil stretch of beach in Hol Box. Everything was top notch, from the friendly service, the gorgeous rooms with a view of the ocean, to the comfy beds and sheets. This is a place we will return to get away from it all. Easy to disconnect completely and relax in this setting with this staff. A special mention to the Las Hamacas restaurant which had incredible food and coctails. Awesome fresh seafood and creative dishes. We will be back!

As I sit in a new place on Isla Mujeres, I am almost in tears, and I wish I were back at Villas Caracol. I don't want to write a good review; I want to keep it a secret, but that's unfair. We travel a lot, and this hotel is unique in so many ways. The staff, food, rooms, pool, and beach are excellent! A special shout-out to Benjamin, but honestly, everyone was great. I am just bad with names. The food was AMAZING—everything was TAKE ME BACK. We will see you next year :)

Villas Caracol is a lovely property up towards the end of the beach where the sandbar starts and one can begin their walk/ wade up to near mosquito beach where there are uninterrupted views of shallow crystal clear waters, white sand and mangroves. My wife and I loved the hotels position on the beach and preferred it to the part of the beach closer to town where it was often busier. The hotel itself is very well maintained and beautifully set with lots of mature palm trees and planting. It feels intimate, cosy and safe. The room and bathroom was very comfortable and spacious with a big TV with access to Netflix etc if you ever wanted it. The Staff at the hotel are so friendly and attentive and made you feel very at home. The breakfast is included with a wide range of options that we really enjoyed. In general the food at the hotel is great. A highlight being the whole cooked catch of the day fish that we saw the fishermen deliver straight from his boat on the beach. The only thing we had that wasn’t good was a beef taco where the beef was very dry and tough. The cocktails were fantastic and the staff went above and beyond to make them just how you like it. Also it was lovely to be served on the beach in real glassware, rather than plastic like some other beach clubs on the island. The beach club is much smaller than other hotels with the ocean sometimes (depending on tide) coming right up to your sun lounger by the end of the day. Which we actually quite liked. It was a bonus that the facilities were exclusively for the hotel guests, of which there aren’t a huge amount. Now one thing that you should be aware of is that sections of the beach do get quite a lot of seaweed floating up. Villa Caracol and its surrounding hotels do a very good job of maintaining their beach every morning but some hotels further down the beach did seem to let it gather and it wasn’t particularly pleasant. It’s let’s out a slight sulphur smell. It seemed to change daily and their had been a big storm the days before our arrival which might have exacerbated the situation. However within a day you don’t pay too much attention to it. However it is a slightly unfortunate problem because without it the beach/ sand/ water would be absolutely perfect, 10/10. On some days it was. Also if you walk up the sandbar in the direction of mosquito beach (the beach around the headland is actually a nature reserve and off limits) you reach a completely perfect and unspoilt (yet unserviced - so bring drinks etc with you) beach where there is no seaweed to be seen. We had a great boat trip with VIP Holbox. (Just keep an eye on the weather for the duration of the stay as the wind picked up towards the end of our trip and we could only do a limited boat trip as we left it late to book not considering the predicted conditions) We loved Holbox, we thought it had a perfect balance between a laid back and also a refined vibe. From the very first Zoom meeting with Jen, our wedding planner at Villas Caracol, we knew we were in excellent hands. The entire planning process was a breeze, requiring only a few virtual meetings to nail down every detail. Jen and her team were incredibly accommodating of all our needs and preferences. We wanted a unique reception without a dance floor and DJ, opting instead for a lively pool party. Despite the hotel never having hosted such an event before, Jen managed all the logistics seamlessly, turning our vision into a stunning reality. The day before our wedding, a storm hit, leaving the beach covered in seaweed. We were initially worried, but Jen swiftly relocated our ceremony to a beautiful spot within the resort. The result was a breathtakingly beautiful wedding, with incredible decorations that exceeded all our expectations. The florals were locally sourced and absolutely stunning, adding a perfect touch of natural beauty to our celebration. One of the most memorable highlights was a surprise orchestrated by Jen. My husband brought a picture of our two cats, hoping it could be displayed on our couple's table during the reception. Not only did Jen include the picture, but she also went above and beyond by commissioning two adorable fondant cats that were added to our wedding cake. It was such a delightful and heartwarming surprise for both of us! As for Villas Caracol itself, the venue is even more beautiful than the photos suggest. Our rooms were luxurious and comfortable, providing the perfect setting for us and our guests. The entire staff at the hotel was attentive and friendly, ensuring that everyone had a wonderful experience. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding planner or a more perfect venue. Jen and Villas Caracol made our special day truly unforgettable. If you're looking for a seamless, magical wedding experience, look no further!

Always a great time the hotel is located right in the beach. Beautiful scenery and amazing food. The staff and service were all on point. This is our third time here. New Year’s party was amazing. DJ Alma was the highlight of the New Year’s party. Amazing time
