Had a decent stay at this hotel. Check in staff were ok. Not many breakfast options.

The woman at the front desk when we checked in at close to midnight was lovely. She even upgraded our room free of charge, because she knew we were traveling with a toddler & that allowed us to use the pull out couch for one of our other kids so the toddler could sleep in bed with one of us parents.

Staff were all very pleasant and kind. Room and bathroom were nothing special but clean. All we needed was one night and it was sufficient.
For anyone reading this who is traveling with young children, from one mom to another: PLEASE learn how to discipline your children and teach them to be considerate of others in a hotel. When small children are screaming at 7am in the hallway, it is not the hotel’s fault. It’s the parents’ fault. You are being rude and extremely inconsiderate. When you TEACH your children to behave in public, you are giving them skills for life. When you don’t, you are setting them up for trouble and failure.

Stayed in Hope to visit family, room was great on the first floor, staff was very accommodating to our itinerary, breakfast was great. One word of advise, go early as breakfast disappears quick.

We had a great time in Hope, the one thing I would say breakfast ends pretty quick even before 9.30.

Our room was clean but it smelled bad inside. Front desk said it had just been cleaned and wouldn’t do anything about the smell so we had to go to Walmart and buy our own spray to make our room bearable. Our deadbolt didn’t work on the door so we had to rely on the other lock only. Our tv remote didn’t work and had to have it replaced 3 times before they said there was nothing they could do about it so we ended up going to Walmart and buying a universal remote just so we could watch tv. I’d find somewhere else to stay

Two years ago I stayed at the nearby Hampton. This time I decided to stay at the Holiday Inn Express, largely because it was a bit cheaper, and had free breakfast included. It was a mistake.
I don't want to rip on the hotel per se, but in truth I knew as soon as I entered it wasn't going to be a great time. The entire hotel smelled of moisture -- dampness -- and being a person with allergies, I knew it would be rough. There was so much moisture in the air that the bedding in the room was lightly damp and the hard surfaces were sticky with moisture. I turned on the air conditioner and turned it down low so it would run for a long time with the hope that it would dry out the room, but it didn't. The room was generally nice and clean, but the moisture made it an uncomfortable experience.
Breakfast the next morning wasn't much better. We came down an hour before breakfast closed, and many items were already gone. I got some coffee, and it tasted awful, so I got hot chocolate, and it also tasted awful. I got a bowl of cereal and a small milk, but when I poured the milk on my cereal, it was coagulated and did not resemble milk in any way. I ended up having only a small spoonful of eggs and a small yogurt. Next time I make the trip, I'm going back to the Hampton.
The workers were nice though, and I appreciated that.
