Hua Jian Tang is a premium boutique resort brand under Yongle Huazhu. Nestled at the foot of Yangshan in Wuxi, by the shores of Taihu Lake, the hotel lies at the southwestern corner of the beautiful Peach Blossom Island Park. The park features two large islands and three small islets, offering stunning natural scenery, mineral-rich volcanic rock dating back hundreds of millions of years, and a long-standing reputation as a hometown of juicy water peaches.
The property comprises seven main guesthouse buildings, one standalone hot spring pavilion, and the Fennel Restaurant. These areas are arranged in an open yet harmonious layout—enclosed without being closed off—blending the elegance of inner courtyards with visual openness. Each building has a public area on its first floor, creating a courtyard-style combination between ground-level communal spaces and second-floor villas. The hotel also offers family rooms specifically designed to meet the needs of traveling families. Its popular private hot spring rooms come in both indoor and outdoor varieties, allowing guests to enjoy diverse visual experiences and immersive sensations depending on the season. With comprehensive amenities including the Fennel Restaurant, children’s entertainment, reading nooks, calligraphy workshops, billiards, and card rooms, it's the ideal destination for a relaxing weekend getaway.
During peach blossom season, the scenic viewing platforms on Peach Blossom Island offer unparalleled vantage points to admire the breathtaking blooms. This idyllic haven seamlessly integrates natural beauty with architectural charm, perfectly embodying Hua Jian Tang’s cultural essence—inviting guests to savor every detail at their own pace. Additionally, the hotel hosts a range of engaging cultural activities such as DIY lantern-making, hand-painted flowerpots, handmade sachets, plant photo frames, and handcrafted peach-wood hairpins, adding unique joy and creativity to your stay.
„To escape the typhoon over the weekend, I randomly picked this hotel near Shanghai, and it was incredibly relaxing and perfect for a getaway. I had originally booked a courtyard room with a private hot spring, but the front desk staff proactively upgraded me to a duplex suite. The hotel staff were all very attentive and friendly. The room was spacious, and the duplex suite had both an indoor and outdoor hot tub, which was super comfortable to soak in. The hotel environment is lovely, seemingly a villa complex, with its own park inside. The next morning, after breakfast, I went for a leisurely stroll to digest. The scenery was beautiful, and while walking, I serendipitously stumbled upon a lotus pond, which was a delightful surprise. However, I personally felt the breakfast wasn't very diverse; it paled in comparison to other hotels in the same price range and established local star-rated hotels I've stayed at. But my partner said this was considered a good breakfast for a HUAZHU Hotels Group property, which made me wonder if this is characteristic of HUAZHU. Overall, I highly recommend it.
P.S. A heads-up for anyone planning to stay: the outdoor hot tub drains very slowly, so it's best to contact the hotel in advance to start draining it, otherwise, you'll be waiting for a long time.”
