Since several years ago, national route 442 has changed to a new road, and it is easy to run with a margin of road width. This inn is ”Ryokan Wakaba”. When you sit in the seat and look at the drink menu, the drink using ginger seems to be delicious. When Nakai comes, you order ”ginger sweet sake” which is said to be the least alcohol. The dishes are also carried in good procedure. The dishes unique to Kumamoto are delicious, such as frost horse stab and red chicken after Kumamoto miso beef. However, Yakiniku in the room smells on the clothes. Breakfast is usually served in the hall on the first floor, but it is a lunch box in each room to prevent corona virus infection. Rice is cooked with a cherry blossom using shichijo rice, and the side dish is a delicious morning rice called 'rokuhon of kokokugo' and 'miso soup of shichijo rice, tsukitake and Minami Seki fried rice. The inn was friendly and the response was good and the hot spring was pleasant.

Luggages were in the room already when we arrived. Front desk staff explained everything clearly. We could only book the private onsen once. Private onsen number one is a bit small, and the water was not hot enough, but the view is pretty with a small garden and rock mountain. I love the large outdoor onsen (for hotel guests only). Water was hot. Beutiful environment and great atmosphere. Changing room was clean and spacious. The smaller outdoor onsen is for public. Room was a bit old and simple, but it came with a cute balcony which I didn't expect. Food was great. Dinner was served in room, and breakfast was served in breakfast room. Overall a great ryokan experience.

You can experience traditional Japanese relaxing time at this accommodation. They have a lot of separated Onsen rooms, and some could be locked by yourself as a private bath room. I recommend you to try some Onsen. You can also eat local dinner with a lot of dishes. The bed room is cover with Tatami which is a Japanese straw mat, and the Tatami is comfortable with your barefoot. Also no bed, you have to sleep on Japanese rug Futon. The facility is enough clean as well. I would like to stay again the accommodation when I will re-visit Kurokawa Onsen village. 静かな温泉街のステキな旅館。1泊だけでしたが、とても満足度の高い時間を過ごす事が出来ました。 この旅館にはたくさんの露天と内湯温泉があり、そのうち宿泊者用の家族風呂が10近くあります。部屋数も多くない旅館なので、ほぼ必ず楽しむ事が出来るでしょう。湯温もちょうどよく、家族風呂をはしごして楽しみました。 食事も素晴らしく、とても美味しい熊本料理を楽しめました。料理の質はかなり高かったと感じました。 仲居さんは研修生と書かれた、若い男性でしたが、対応も説明もしっかりこなしてくれて満足です。 また黒川温泉に来る機会があれば、お世話になりたい、そう思える時間でした。

There were other large open-air and rental open-air baths, and I enjoyed the bath. Dinner was very delicious and satisfied with both mass. The service is well served and it is a popular inn. There were many breakfasts and rice, and of course the rice was delicious and satisfied. I think it was a good inn because I want to be nonbillied in the inn. I want to stay in a flat house type room this time.

What a perfect service with nice and kind owners. The owner can pick you up at the bus stop for free if you want. The price of stay was cheap and reasonable and they provide you with Japanese traditional style meal with reasonable prices as well. I would recommend this Ryokan. I wish I could visit this again.
