In general I have to said it was very good. Hotel - who is expecting design hotel will be surely dissapointed, but anyvay rooms was clean and normaly furnished. Cleaning was every day so as changing towels. Beach towels you could change also everyday or not as you want - but these was up to anyone. Restaurant /bar /food - these was totally 5* food was excelent every day and really a lot of variations staff there was also excellend and very nice that was the same in a bars - there I would praise all of them. Beach and the see - was also very nice /clean and I was very happy first two days we have got really nice and than come the storms and was a bigger waves - but it has nothing to do with hotel and beach :) negative - oly what i would tell negative - we could not stay in a rooms longer anyway we would like to pay for it - we have to leave at 12 but our bus was leaving hotel nearly at 20 - they have said they are totally full, but anyway in my view there should be obtion anyway you travel with kids you would appriciate some private space where you can take shower or change clothes or make a rest. Despite this fact i can imagine I would spend holiday in this resort again

Bed bugs a cluster under my shoulder on the first night told reception then a couple each night hairdryer not working a free for all at mealtimes not many English in hotel.pool and beach sunbeds bagged at night /early morning so had to search them.out meals good selection Animation staff enthusiastic. No Spa Pool Bar or Mamma Mia restaurant I would not return

The hotel would need a complete renovation, especially the bathrooms in the rooms were appalling, the air conditioning in the rooms did not cool much. The cleaning of the rooms once every two days is also not enough, because the toilet paper you use has to be thrown into a small basket in the bathroom, where the suction almost does not work at all. The food in the restaurant was almost unchanged and especially it was hot because the air conditioning did not work. There was a lack of sunbeds, so anyone who didn't put on a towel at 7 in the morning was just lying on the beach. And if by chance there was a deckchair left, it was out of order and you couldn't lie on it. A big positive was the beautifully clean sea. I would not return to the hotel.

Where to start with this one? Best way I can describe this place is a hotel that seems to be run on shoe string budget. The hotel, dinning room and the room are clean. The food is also very good and the staff are very pleasant on the whole. And they are doing there best with what they have to work with. We stayed in a family room that was clean. Although the sink was blocked on arrival and the back door didn’t lock. We did report the door which never got sorted and I ended up fixing it myself. The double bed was two single bed pushed together. I don’t think that’s good enough personally. There was one single bed and a camp style bed for the kids. Which caused argument as the camp style bed wasn’t comfortable. Wi-Fi doesn’t work either. The place needs more money putting in to make it worth the cost. The hotel itself is dated. No air conditioning in the dinning room which made eating feel like a sauna at times. The air conditioning in the rooms works well so they stay cool providing you have a spare key card to leave the electricity on. There are no other place to escape the heat. Little shade around the pool. There’s frame work around one side that would of had canvas covering it at point in the past. But long gone now. So very little shade. There are some parasols around the pool but not many. More on the beach to be fair. I do feel there should be somewhere the escape the heat, either that been a bar with air condition or a lounge room. There is lack of sun loungers around the pool and the beach. You’ve got to be on it early to reserve one as they go quickly. I’d say there just needs to be more on the beach and around the pool to accommodate for the amount of guests the hotel takes. Through the day there’s one bar on the beach that is manned by two staff so there’s generally a queue. There’s a bar at the pool which isn’t used at all. If you are spending a day at the pool you have to go to the beach bar to get a drink. It’s not too far but why the pool bar isn’t operational to half the queues and have available drinks at the pool is beyond me. Again down to working on a minimal staff budget I think. There’s a gym onsite which in the pictures online has a good amount of equipment. This was one reason we booked this place as I workout regularly at home and having the gym here was a massive plus to booking this place. But, on going to the gym I discovered the state of it. Two rough spin bikes, a tired cross trainer, a bench press machine that’s seen better days (no pin in the weights, just an old piece of metal as pictured) and a broken rowing machine with no handle. The gym seems to be more of an extension of the play ground for children as it’s not manned or controlled so people roam in freely. It does say the minimum age is 16 but nobody seems to follow that rule. There’s is a small playground for children but it’s very limited. The bar on the evening is ok but again under staffed. This place is amazing and the perfect place for a family trip! We really couldn’t find any faults at all. To start with, the food was absolutely delicious and there was a nice selection at all meals. There was something different to try every night which we really enjoyed. The animation team are lovely, we didn’t miss a mini disco and they are so enthusiastic both day and night - I don’t know how they do it. The kids pool and play area were perfect, and close to the beach so everything we wanted was in one area. Finally our rooms were lovely, REALLY clean and in beautiful surroundings. Overall, we loved our time here and felt so looked after by everyone. We can’t thank you enough - 2 weeks still didn’t feel like long enough!

Very friendly staff, not really a 4 star, every where was a bit run down and tired looking. The outdoor gym was more of a token than a facility. Great location for access to the private beach. Food sustaining but not exciting, so we ate out in 3 local tavernas, which was inexpensive and good home cooking. Unfortunately 1.5 hours from the nearest airport but great for a quiet relaxing holiday for 2. We used a taxi transfer which worked well. A late flight which was delayed meant that we arrived at 2.00 am the first day, which meant it was a 6 day holiday.

Hotel deserves maximum 3*. It is very old hotel, everything is outdated. Sunbeds and umbrellas are all damaged, old, and not protecting from sun. Beach is clean and seawater is amazing- only reason why to come. Food is average, offer if good, but taste is average. Rooms are old and clean as much is possible. Hotel is max 3 *. Hotel stuff is kind and trying to do their best, but owner has to seriously think about investments in many ways.

Arrived at the hotel and wasn't greeted in a welcoming manor just ask for our names then was told our accommodation was cancelled no explanation or no Sorry! We waited an hour for them to tell us they can put us up in a temporary room for 5 days then we would be moved to another room After raising a complaint regarding our move to another room as they weren't prepared to help us move our suitcase, they damaged my suitcase and didn't want to except that they had badly damage my suitcase. I complained to the Manager Maria but again there was no apologies, i asked about our arrival and why our accommodation was cancelled and she said their computers was broken !! had to ask them to help repair the suitcase and it came back worse then before. The manager said because of covid, (poor excuse), they haven't been able to maintain nothing, poor excuse. And they are doing renovating the hotel next year and we should come back. (i wont be returning) This is not a 5 star hotel. They are advertising a tennis court and football pitch which is not on their premises its across a very busty road and is run down it needs re servicing. The teenagers had nothing to do as they did not cater for them. only small children disco The table tennis bats were damaged and most snooker sticks broken. The amusements did not work all the time. i complained about the rooms being old and dirty. i think they had bed bugs as the bites didn't look like mosquitoes bites. The rooms that we stayed in had cockroaches, dirty toilet and a old bath in both rooms with a shower hose which need cleaning. The sliding doors glass was dirty and not wind proof, the windows had no mosquitoes net, and the air con didn't work efficiently. No Wifi didn't work properly only in the reception area. There was no information in the rooms about how to contact reception on the phone or what time food is served etc there was no kettle in the rooms. the bed sheets were changed twice a week. and towels not often. furniture dirty and dated. and key staff old, didn't trust it. doors not wind proof rattled every night with strong winds. Food was nice but did not cater for children. Make sure you buy water or drinks as at night and early in the morning there is nothing open to get a drink, no vending machine Pool side clean but sunchairs not enough and whilst we were there they had old deckchairs by the pool side and was replaced with white hard plastic deck chairs not very comfortable Last day of check out there is no facilities to wash, they don't give you a room they tell you to use the toilet that has a dirty shower. poor communication No tourist information on trips just a German folder in the one of the lobbies on middle floor, no one to help you about trips you are left to find things out yourself. We are family of 2 adults and 2 children and stayed in hotel Sunshine Crete Beach end of July, beginning August for 10 days. Hotel in overall is very clean, food is just fantastic, activity team is great and I need to point out very helpful receptionists and back office stuff too. We wished to change our room to seaview and stuff was very nice about our request and changed our room next day as soon as it was available. We arrived at 3 AM in the morning and reception was all ready for us, helped with luggage and took us to room, one bottle of water waiting for us in the fridge together with 4 food packages to get refreshed. We received very nice family room, either the equipment is a bit old everything is clean, I found the bed comfortable, even I do have troubles with sleep. Cleaning lady comes every day. AC was not laud at all, it could be set up to your comfortable temperature. Food was just fantastic, I do not understand bad reviews about it. There was variety selection of vegies, fruits, meats, side meals, sweets, icecream, all kinds of drinks. The stuff in restaurant is just so quick, they take your finished plates automatically, tables are always clean and desinficated after every usage. We experienced greek and italien night in the restaurant and we could not find anything without good taste. About the wind... sure there is some wind in Crete, we experienced 4 days of strong wind, you have to watch your towels or beach equipment, but thanks to the wind the temperature is not that high. Hotel is pretty ready for the wind, the sundbeds are roped to the sunumbrellas. There are always helpful stuff at the beach or swimming pool. Beach bar stuff ladies are the best, I hope hotel admires them as much as we do. Unfortunately the only open bar during the day is beach bar and the ladies are doing more then their best and still it is not enough to avoid line. I would suggest hotel to open the pool bar too. Animation team and especially the kids club are very nice, I would prefer more quality animation program during nights, during days it is great, but during nights some external entertainers would be a nice change, such as magicians or theater. Beach is clean, even the plastic drink cups flight due to the wind the beach is clean in the morning. I would suggest new sunbeds and umbrellas, but still nothing is broken, just a bit old fashioned. Towels borrowed by hotel are nice plus. There is offer for seafun activities on the beach too such as jet ski or banana. The only minus I would see is the lack of shadow in the pool area. There is the fabric missing in the constructions on the right side of the pool, I believe it was there in the past, I would suggest hotel to put it back. There is car rental at the reception area, we rented a car and were very satisfied. Late checkout was no problem, even it is paid by 35eur.
