Himelhoch Bed & Breakfast

This place felt like home away from home! It is a beautiful B&B, from the peaceful outside lounge areas and hot tub to the cozy rooms. Waking up to delicious smells of the breakfast waiting downstairs for you was a great start to our mornings. I was a long way from my home state of Oklahoma, but Himelhoch B & B served their hospitality southern style!

Looking for a beautiful, quiet, clean getaway? Do not look any further. I am in love with this Bed and Breakfast. The staff, Miranda are truly awesome. Attentive, very friendly & superb attention to detail. The property owner, Don is so nice & humble. He has established such a beautiful place to relax. The entire place has beautiful decor, inside & outdoor. Quality top-tier cleanliness. (Which is very important to me). Super comfortable king size beds, retractable tv's, and large soaking tubs was exactly what I wanted & needed. I honestly wanted to make sure that I mentioned everything that made this a great experience. Since so much thought & consideration is taken into making a great stay. I believe places like this should continue to thrive. Thank you again Don & Miranda! Especially for the spare table..lol Next time, I will definitely try the outdoor hot tub. ☺️

We had the most wonderful time at Himelhoch Bed and Breakfast. It was our first getaway alone since the holidays, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was not only delicious, but very plentiful! Don even made us some homemade potatoes after discovering he was out of hashbrowns. They were awesome! Neither of us could finish our plates because we were so stuffed full of goodness! The attention to detail in the home was incredible. The hardwood porch was so well maintained you would never know there was a few inches of snow on the ground. They really spent a lot of time making this home spectacular! We stayed in the Myer and Rosa Suite which was perfect for us. The cozy fireplace kept us warm at night and we were steps away from the game room so we could play some pool while watching tv. We definitely recommend this place if you need a quiet getaway for a few days. Even the food in town was excellent. What a fun time!

We spent one night for a get away. Lovely home and great breakfast. Don was most enjoyable to talk to at breakfast. The only negative thing I can say is it was winter so we couldn’t enjoy the beautiful porch so guess that means we will have to return when the weather permits to take advantage of the best amenity!!!

The treasure is in the details: great mattress, soft, fluffy towels, made-to-order breakfast, immaculately clean inside and outside, a wrap-around porch, hot tub, fire pit, fireplace in two-room Golda Mae Suite andandand...the public rooms (pictured) are graciously furnished and are peaceful visiting spots. The yard, with twinkling lights, is a perfect place for a nightcap. What a find - now find your way here, too!

We went here for a short fall getaway and it was exactly what we hoped for! So cozy, clean, and meticulously-kept. And breakfast was delicious! Will definitely stay here again if we ever make our way back to the area.

Beautiful B&B to visit. Don and Melissia were friendly and meat all our needs. My wife and I stayed in the Golda Mae Suite. This room was larger with a nice sitting room with couch to watch tv. Great channel selection. Also had a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. Breakfast was very good and filling. If I return to this area I would defiantly stay here again.

A beautiful gem of a bed and breakfast. The house is filled with beautiful antiques. Don and his staff were so accommodating. The bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. I will come here again next time I’m in the area.

HImelhoch is our go-to place to say when we have events happening in the Thumb. Beautiful old home, lovely accommodations, and Don did such a great job of making us feel welcome. The breakfasts were excellent and nothing about our stay was lacking. This is a really top-notch B&B.
