Villa 700

Absolutely beautiful experience with the best and friendliest staff you can imagine. Only five rooms in this former private house, so it really feels like home. Make sure to enjoy the three/four course dinner in the garden or by the pool, food is also very delicious. Thank you for taking good care of us. We will be back.

- Great location for a quick get away from Colombo. 1 hour and 30 mins. - Ideal for a small group of 8-10 people. - They have 5 rooms. - Toddler/Infant friendly, they had a cot/feeding chair etc - Great food - Muthumala (Butler) and Anurudda (Chef) attended to all our needs during the stay

A fantastic 5 nights at the end of our Sri Lanka 2 week tour with friends . The food is amazing . The staff are so welcoming and helpful .Muthamal our butler went above and beyond to make us comfortable . It’s more like a private villa feel . 5 bedrooms ( only one room was not nice at the back with no windows ) should really be 4 bedrooms ). We had the deluxe sea view room with doors opening onto the gardens , pool and the beach a stones throw away . No bar or alcohol licence but Muthu gets all you want for you and stores in the kitchen . Makes you cocktails whenever you need etc . The chefs are fantastic . Ask you what you fancy for dinner . We had the best seafood , prawns and tuna steaks . All freshly prepared . Would be great to return with all our family and take the villa over . Would stay again . Beach lovely and had it to ourselves . The hotel next door has a bar and place to eat . Had a massage most days ! Very reasonably priced . Thank you to all the staff for looking after us .

The whole crew is very welcoming and friendly. The cook made the food freshly every time and it was high quality. We loved the concept of the hotel because it made you feel like it’s your home. Also the beach is right in front of the hotel. You could literally jump out of the bed to the beach. The room was nice, clean and modern. We will come back again for sure! Thank you for having us.

The last five nights of our round trip we should have stayed at this hotel. We were brought to our room (twin standard room) with the words 'this is the last room available'. When we took a closer look we were shocked. The room had nothing a 'standard room' should have, according to the website. There was no tv, no mini fridge and actually no windows. Yes, there were windows but you couldn't open or even look through them because of the board shed in front. We decided to talk to the manager of the hotel, because we couldn't stay in this room, which felt like a storage room, for 5 nights. After a long negotiation we accepted the offer to be moved to the deluxe room after one night, but we still didn't feel comfortable to stay in the hotel. We felt that the manager exactly knew that he shouldn't rent out the initial "twin standard room" and hoped for no complaints. After one really noisy night due to the high traffic road and the railway right next to the hotel, we decided to talk to our local guide. We asked him about a hotel change because we couldn't stay any longer in this hotel. H.O.T. offered us a hotel change and we were finally happy to leave this place to enjoy a great time somewhere else. Positive aspects about this hotel include the chef and butler, both did an amazing job.

We, my friend and I, had a wonderful time at Villa 700 last week! The staff was very friendly, the food great, the accommodation perfect, a fine swimmingpool and it was right on the beach! Because we had to leave very early in the morning the chef had even made us breakfast to take away What more do you want..

Stayed for 5 nights in March 2024, honestly some of the best food ‘cooked fresh’ we had during our Sri Lanka trip. Super clean and friendly, overlooking the Indian Ocean. This is not a licensed hotel so you will need to purchase your alcohol if required from the numerous licensed wine shops just a tuk tuk away but don’t let that put you off. Our daily needs were attended superbly by butler Muthumal. A fantastic place to wind down at after seeing the sights of this fantastic country. Highly recommended.

A heavenly stay! The lovely and service minded staff, a spacious and tidy room, the best cuisine, and the beautiful details that complete a wonderful experience. Peace and tranquility. This property is literally situated next to the beach, the view is impeccable, only sand, sea and sky… Highly recommended!
