Highland Bear Lodge & Luxury Bear Huts

Highland Bear Lodge was beautiful! The location, the room, all the little touches were just perfect. We stayed for 2 nights in the Bonnie Prince Charlie suite and absolutely loved having sole use of the hot tub. Our stay was the relaxation that we needed. Thanks Mark!

Beautiful location..... felt like we were staying in a castle. Loved in room breakfast...croissants delicious. Great place for exploring Loch Ness. Rooms spacious and comfortable with beautiful views across the Glen. Saw a stag and red squirrels in the grounds

Fantastic stay in the Bonnie Prince Charlie room! So spacious and beautifully furnished. We also really enjoyed using the hot tub just right outside the door. Mark was super friendly and made us feel at home. We will definitely come back soon to this amazing property.

All I can say is Wow, Wow, Wow. We stayed in the Bonnie Prince Charlie suite and the room was absolutely stunning. You couldn’t have asked for more from a Continental breakfast or the room facilities. Sole use of the hot tub definitely added to the experience. I cannot rate this place enough

Okay - but a little pricy for accommodation where you need to go into reverse to use the toilet 😀. Very quiet area - but requires some free time there to benefit from the surroundings

A lovely place to stay. Easy checking in and out. A very clean, well appointed shepherds hut. If booking please be aware that breakfast is cornflakes/instant porridge and a breakfast bar plus tea or coffee. This was enough for us but wanted to point it out as it might be helpful for others booking.

For one of the nights on our annual trip to Scotland, we decided to stay in again near Loch Ness. I always look out for B&B's outside of larger towns, and in the middle of nature. Well, you can't go wrong with Highland Bear Lodge. Not so far of the town of Drumnadrochit or even Inverness, but nicely tucked away in the hills to Cannich. Lovely, spacious room and bathroom. Easy self check-in and a continental breakfast ready in your room to eat the next morning. We booked an Organic Highland Tour with the owner, Mark Dann, and we would definitely recommend it! You get to see some roads, of the beaten track and we were lucky enough to spot some deer.

Great little hut. Very comfortable and warm and really peaceful. Bed was seriously comfy. Had enough sunny spells for some breakfast outside too which was lovely. Really close to Drumnadrochit for food and shops. Also really close to Glen Affric which meant I could beat the car park crowds when visiting without having to get up seriously early.

Stayed in one of the bear huts at Highland Bear lodge and am very glad that I did. The host had made arriving and checking in a seamless experience with plenty of detail via email beforehand and plenty on arrival. The surroundings are really out of this world, well kept and in tune with the locality. The hut was very comfortable, with everything you could possibly need to hand. I’ll be booking again here without a doubt, I could sit outside at the table for ever and a day. Bed comfy, electric kettle, tv, shower, wc, cooking rings, bbq, fridge, heating… all in a bear hut. Most importantly… nature and peace!
