Villa Aurea

We decided to book 2nights at Villa Aurea,since the location is a short drive away from Pozzallo port.We booked it because I saw good reviews re Owner Mr.Caruso and His kindness.Sadly enough we weren't so lucky to meet him.We did meet the lady of the house,I assume Mrs.Carusa,which was sweet and welcoming.There was the house-keeper which was just as sweet,opposite to the receptionist which was with no manners at all.She wanted to charge us more money than the agreed price for our stay,we gave her the money she asked for,since she stated that there was a misunderstanding,and that her english wasn't so good..We paid €76.95 extra than the agreed total price.When we asked to talk to Mr.Caruso,the same receptionist told us that He was away.We got to know that all emails which we have sent to Mr.Caruso prior our booking and visit,were not being answered by him,but simply answered by this lady in his name.Very Unprofessional. The same receptionist wanted to charge us as well €60 more to keep the luggages there for an extra 6hrs,when during our stay lt seemed like there were no other tourists than us. Thankfully we left our luggages in the corridor,and Mrs Caruso was kind enough to not charge us anything extra. Villa Aurea is well located close to Pozzallo port,has a lovely pool,but a basic breakfast which consisted of Cornetto,Nutella,cereal,coffee and juice. Rooms are big,yet furniture was very old worn out furniture dating back to the 80's. Rooms were clean,and view is beautiful. I find that this Hotel was too expensive for what it offers.All other 4 hotels we've been to were cheaper in price,yet with excellent service and beautiful rooms,and lovely receptionists.

Ottima posizione tranquilla fuori dal caos ma vicina al mare. Un bellissimo giardino ti accoglie quando entri ombreggiato da bellissimi ulivi e da un albero gigante ficus-,magnolia. Gli appartamentini sono accoglienti puliti e delle giuste dimensioni. Se non si vuole andare al mare si può passare il tempo in un accogliente piscina. Ampio parcheggio per le auto che stanno al sicuro e al mattino un ottima e abbondante colazione con dolci tipici del posto. Un vero piccolo paradiso adatto a famiglie.

Un BnB très agréable au calme avec piscine et un petit déjeuner gourmand. Mais surtout un accueil et une disponibilité du personnel appréciables et surtout de Mr CARUSO qui nous a bien aidés avec notre panne de batterie moto... Il a téléphoné pour nous au garagiste et nous a emmenés mon mari et moi en voiture chercher 1 batterie à 20km...un grand merci à lui pour son empathie et sa gentillesse !
