A small and friendly hotel in a great location. Only a 5 minute walk from the entrance to Hagia Sofia and the Topkapi Palace. The staff are very helpful and the breakfast buffet on the roof terrace with views over the water is lovely. The rooms are clean and simply furnished.

What a hidden gem in this wonderful city. From the moment we arrived we were very well looked after by Ali, Rukiye and their colleagues. On hand to arrange whatever we wanted to do. Our room was lovely, with a great view. Beds were comfy, cleaning excellent and the breakfast was plentiful. The hotel is in the perfect location for sightseeing with the main attractions 5-10 minutes away. We would definitely recommend to friends and we would return without any doubt. Thank you guys, for making our fantastic break in this marvellous city even more special.

We spent 5 wonderful nights at this hotel. So close to all the important sites but somehow felt we were staying in a quiet neighborhood. Clean and comfortable rooms, amazing terrace with spectacular views … and the staff was lovely. Ali is the energetic manager who can offer suggestions but also allows visitors to make their own adventures. We definitely would stay here again if we are fortunate enough to return to Istanbul. We feel like we’re part of the family now!

Really lovely friendly and helpful staff, particularly the lovely young lady. Breakfast was really good. It’s a fantastic location for visiting the Blue Mosque, Topaki Palace etc. would definitely recommend staying here.

Hotel is located very centrally. 5 minutes walk to Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. Amazing view from the top terrace where breakfast takes place and you can chill in the evenings. Ali is very hospitable and accommodating. Food is not cheap around the hotel so it’s better to eat further away. Room was not very big but had everything needed. I asked for safe when booking and Ali was able to accommodate.

A gem - perfect central location with an amazing host We had a fantastic stay in the perfect central location close to all the major attractions, food and bars and the sea. Stunning views from the roof terrace make this a little gem and it was overall a perfect location for our trip

We spent a full happy week at Hotel Sebnem. Although this was our second visit to Istanbul, we were not able to see everything on our itinerary. Istanbul is the most iconic city in the world with best views to click no matter where you go. . The hotel is clean, staff is very cooperative and Ali who is the manager is always there to offer help. However, I have one simple suggestion. For guests staying for longer periods, the breakfast should include fried eggs and traditional jams etc. Although the current breakfast spread is excellent but after a few days a bit of variety is called for. But overall, we had good experience of the hotel.

I first stayed at the Sebnem 20 years ago. It was a good choice then and a great choice now. It is extremely convenient for everything in old Istanbul (Sultanahmet, etc.) - just around the corner from Hagia Sophia, convenient for restaurants, etc. But, it is on a quiet street, away from the noise of crowds. A real oasis if you're there in high season. The rooms are very basic (no frills), but comfortable and clean, and some have a private garden for your use alone! The Turkish-style breakfast on the rooftop is very nice and quite ample. The staff is great, especially Ali, the manager, who takes very good care of his guests, and is a genuinely nice person.
