Hotel Marina

This is a really nice place to stay, it overlooks the Marina and the beach is just a few steps away. The breakfast was excellent, even for me with food sensitivities there was plenty of choice. The staff were extremely helpful if you had any questions. The room was comfortable but the only thing I would say about our room was that when I went to open the curtains to let some light in I discovered a shutter and behind that a lady sitting on her balcony that I could of shaken hands with becauseshe was so close. So we left the curtains closed. Apart from that the room was comfortable and we had a wonderful stay here and would happily stay again.

Hotel Marina is located right on the waterfront at Izola, and 20 minutes from Piran. We had a King Superior room, which was fine for us (2 adults and one child). It had a huge balcony with sunloungers on it and a view of the marina and the sea. The hotel is just a few metres from the main swimming area and a short stroll to the centre of Izola, which is a pretty little town with a variety of cafes, bars and restaurants. We didn't need to try any of these because the jewel in the crown of Hotel Marina is the restaurant, which serves fantastic seafood. We ate there every night because it was so good! The staff at the hotel could not have been more helpful and welcoming, and were very kind when our son was injured in the sea. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great base to explore the Slovenian coast.

Such a nice hotel and great restaurant. The staff and servers are friendly and helpful. We had 3 rooms. 1 balcony with Sea View, 1 balcony with Marina View (there is construction on the marina at the time we were visiting) and 1 Sea View view room. All the rooms are comfortable and linens very nice. Izola is a beautiful little town and we enjoyed the sunset walk in evenings.

Spent a wonderful week top class hotel and restaurant made by the staff for whom nothing was to much trouble,always pleasant ,helpful and professional. Rooms excellent with great sea view and spacious balcony. Highly recommend a visit you wont be disappointed

Definitely the only place to stay in Izola. I decided to book direct since I had the flexibility to walk into town on my drive from Rovinj, Croatia back to Ljubljana, so I walked in the front door only to be greeted by the sweetest person on Earth, Breda, who speaks perfect English and many other languages. If you book direct they have more flexibility to accommodate special requests. She easily made my decision to stay that night and an extra night very easy. You absolutely MUST see this town lit up for Christmas and Hotel Marina is perfectly located to take a stroll to the right and see the stunning mountains and in the evening a stroll to the left to see the center lit up like a Winter Wonderland (truly). The children were ice skating and Christmas music playing. With such a rushed agenda to see “the Balkans” in 3 weeks this was a perfect relaxing gorgeous surprise of a stop over on the way back. I wish I could stay longer. Thank you Hotel Marina. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed the stay in this hotel. The rooms are nicely renovated just the bathroom was a bit old. The view from the room to the sea is the best, the breakfeast is ok and the privatne spa for rent is the best.

Superbe hôtel. Accueil, chambre, literie, petit-déjeuner, ... et la vue! On avait pris une chambre avec vue qui donnait directement sur la mer et la ville. Superbe. On a fait un coucher de soleil magnifique. Le restaurant de l'hôtel est également très bon. Vraiment une superbe expérience :)

Die aktuelle Bausetelle direkt vor dem Hotel ist eine gewisse Beeinträchtigung. Die Zimmer sind von den Ausstattung und vom Comfort her eher durchschnittlich, dafür aber relativ teuer. Die Standardzimmer mit Blick zum Hinterhof, die Premiumzimmer nach vorne, mit Terasse - leider mit unangenhmer Geräuschkulisse sowohl von den Restaurantgästen abends als auch vom Hafen frühmorgens. Das Restaurant bietet gutes Essen (4-Gang-Menue) aber zu sehr hohen Preisen.

Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub mit unserer 5jährigen Tochter in diesem Hotel und in Slowenien überhaupt. Ganz besonders großartig sind die super isolierten Fenster - dadurch haben wir großartig geschlafen, obwohl im Hafen abends und morgens was los war. So hat man auch die Baustelle am Hafen überhaupt nicht gehört. Der Strand liegt direkt um die Ecke und ist einer der schönsten, den wir an der Küste gefunden haben. Alle im Hotel waren sehr freundlich und das Frühstück auch sehr gut. Ein absolutes Highlight ist es täglich auf der Terasse zum Frühstück zu sitzen, daher sind wir auch ab drei von vier Abenden hier zum Abendessen gewesen. Wir würden jederzeit wieder her kommen
