A comfortable bed and a great shower can make or break a hotel for me. The bed itself was comfortable, but the pillows were not. We had arrived after 10 pm and once we got settled in the room, and ready to go to bed, I noticed the pillows were very flat. I like a much firmer pillow, so I called the front desk at about 10:30 and asked for replacement pillows. By 11:00 the pillows had not arrived. I was waiting around for them so I could go to bed. I called the desk again and told them to never mind so I could go to bed. The walls are very thin and we heard the people next door to us until late at night just talking. The next morning when we went to the Continental breakfast at 9 am, we waited to be seated and finally asked the front desk if we were supposed to seat ourselves after not seeing any wait staff. Most of the food offerings were empty with no refills in sight. It took a while for a server to come and get our drink order. It was Thanksgiving morning, so possibly they were short-staffed because of the holiday. The food they served was not that great and my husband could not even drink the coffee it was so bad. We ended up going to Dunkin's. At checkout when I told the front desk clerk about the pillow situation, he offered to give me bonus points on my Marriot Bonvoy account, which I thanked him for.
