Vistana Beach Club

This is the 5th year staying here and it never disappoints! The ocean is beautiful and the area is covenant to whatever your needs may be! If you need anything just ask the friendly frount desk and I am sure they will point you in the right direction as they have us many times! Kick back, relax and enjoy!

The property is located on a quiet beach. It is an older property. We booked this using Abound points thru MVC. The only way onsite we knew this was affiliated with Marriott were the staff shirts. Check in desk said it was affiliated with RCI. Bathrooms dated with frosted glass shower doors and shower pan floors. Front door security was a chain and latch. Haven’t seen that in a hotel in decades. No fitness center. Extremely limited small snack bar. We have been to many MVC resorts. This is the bottom of our list. We were also on 3rd floor of front building. Had partial view of Ocean. Mostly view of Oceanfront building.

Enjoyed 2 weeks at Vistana Beach Club. This is an older resort dating back to the 80's but well maintained. The activities center offers activities for all ages and a limited but good snack bar menu. The resort is on the ocean so for beach lovers it is a perfect location. The staff are very nice and accomodating. With age, some of the rooms and other amenities are on the upgrade list. I have been an owner here for 18 years and enjoy returning annually.

We were not in the direct ocean front building but still had a great ocean view. Staff were helpful and friendly. Pool was heated which was a necessity since we came in January. Free wine and cheese event was worthwhile and not a way to sell you wine or timeshares - but a way to meet other guests. Beach access was great.

We were only there two nights and family members also had booked a room. They were kind to allow us rooms next door to each other. Rooms are spacious and all have some type of ocean view. There was a balcony with a table and 4 chairs. Master bedroom has a nice jacuzzi tub, separate from the shower. Kitchen had silverware and plates in sets for 8 people. There was salt and pepper and lots of cookware items.

Disappointing View from Building Two. The dreaded BACK building which they call the FRONT building has views of parking lots on all sides. There is no resort to speak of, and if I hadn’t reserved knowing there was a beach somewhere I would have sworn I was in the middle of the state in an older motel by the highway. There are two bedrooms, one with tiny beds (and a large live roach when we arrived), plus kitchen and living/dining area, which would be convenient for a family beach vacay. But don’t come for the view. Staff at check-in was very kind and great attitude.

We are Marriott owners and we have expectations of Marriott. The initial greeting by the girl at the front desk was unfriendly and unprofessional. She spoke so quickly it was difficult for my husband and I to understand her. We were put in the front building. We got up to our room and the view is surprisingly beautiful of the ocean. I had read many reviews from this building. The main living room, front bedroom and bathroom was nicely updated; however, the master bedroom needs serious updating. A few obvious items, get rid of the pedestal sink, guests need counter space, and get rid of the frayed carpet and gross old baseboards. Once noticing we didn't have coffee or laundry detergent, I returned to the unfriendly front desk girl. She responded with this is not Marriott and we don't give coffee but handed me laundry powder. She rudely also stated very briefly that I can exchange my towels once per my visit. Don't expect Marriott service. YET, THE TV HAS THE MARRIOTT ADS AND ALL TOWELS ARE LABELED MARRIOTT

I have been here 3 times in the past 4 years. The beach front location, lowkey and quiet location and remodeled interior villas are what make this resort one of my favorite get aways. Desk, maintenance and cleaning services are all provided by friendly , knowledgeable and top service providing people. The first trip 4 years ago my girlfriend and I were disappointed with how littered the beach was in both directions. The last 2 visits I noticed a complete turn around on the incredible improvement of the beach with very little to no litter and minimal sea ****. This past visit I discovered that the reason for the clean beach was due to the couple that has been contracted to provide beach chair and umbrella service by the Vistana Beach club and neighboring resorts. They not only provide friendly, considerate and overall excellent/value service with the beach chairs and umbrellas but also each morning come out and rake and prepare the beach in their area so that it is a beautiful/clean beach for everyone there. Our 8th floor villa was very clean, nice and fully equipped. The facilities in general are very well maintained and staff are very friendly. OBS maintains the beach area and rent beach chairs and umbrellas which is convenient. We rented an umbrella once when there wasn’t enough wind for our Shibumi. During our visit there was general maintenance on the main building, pool restrooms, grilling area and hot tub making the them unavailable for a number of days. Noise from construction at the resort itself wasn’t that bad but construction noise for neighboring building was constant during the day.
