Pal Haveli - A Heritage Hotel

Our second stay at this amazing hotel. Stunningly beautiful room & buildings. Excellent central location in Jodhpur. Food in the rooftop restaurant was superb & the view of the fort from the restaurant is incredible, especially when lit up at night. Staff were very charming & helpful. Overall a lovely experience & would highly recommend staying here.

The son of the owner convinced his father to open their family historical haveli to hotel guests, and we had the most astounding historical suite (room 107) facing an inner courtyard, providing the most magical hotel experience in all of our trip in Rhajistan. You can appreciate the decor from the photos. The haveli is well preserved with historical frescos and artifacts. The roof top terrace restaurant "Indique' food was mouth watering and it has a breathtaking view of the illuminated Fort. The staff is unfailingly kind and hospitable, and we highly recommend this Haveli Hotel for a wonderful stay in Jodhpur. We visited the nearby Ras Hotel to compare and we were disenchanted by the cold reception and stark atmosphere.

We went to this place on a friend's recommendation and would definitely recommend it to others. We visited the rooftop restaurant in night hours. View of Mehrangarh fort was beautiful from there. Approach to this place is not inconvenient but parking is a concern. Food was nice. Our assistant, Mr. Bharat, was very polite, joyful and friendly. Apart from serving us, he also gave us insights about the place and surroundings. He also guided us about nearest cab and rikshaw points on our way back. The overall time spent there was mesmerizing. Certain occurrences at that place were breathtaking and once-in-a-lifetime kind of experience.

I stayed here for 2 nights. The rooms were spacious with beautiful interiors giving a feel of traditional haveli style rooms. A subtleness of modern theme makes it an excellent fusion. Food was delicious. All the key places like mehrangarh fort, old jodhpur market, clock tower are just at walking distance. I enjoyed every bit of the haveli and would definitely stay here during my next trip also.

Lovely historical property in the heart of Jodhpur, minutes on foot to the clock tower. Given the super central location, some noise from the nearby streets is to be expected but we had no problems because they provide earplugs for peaceful sleeping. As soon as you enter the property you will be amazed by the beautiful traditional architecture, with the common spaces tastefully arranged. The staff here is very welcoming, professional and ready to satisfy your needs. Our room (number 102) was really beautiful and spacious, although lacking natural light, with a very comfortable bed and a good bathroom with high quality toiletries. Also, the Indique restaurant (open to guests and also people not residing in the hotel) was great for us, both for dinner and for breakfast. Their menu is a la carte, with both indian and continental dishes. Everything is prepared with good quality ingredients and love. Definitely no complaints from our side. Recommended!

Room was huge (but could do with better black out curtains) and beautifully decorated, the artwork was incredible. The artist has a little shop within the haveli and we bought a couple of gorgeous pieces which was great. The location is amazing, and the view from the rooftop restaurant was perfect. At dinner, on the menu, they really need to add what roughly the taxes may be. We had a bottle of wine with dinner but was surprised at the cost (at around 40% extra on top of the advertised cost). We mentioned this the next day to the ***ager who said a few people have already mentioned this too, and said he’d look at adding an ‘up to’ cost as the taxes fluctuate a bit, to the menu, not sure if they will or not (so letting you know!) Booking the room was a hassle as you couldn’t pay on the website but through my bank who were convinced it was a scam and took ages on the phone to sort out. We asked the hotel to book us a taxi to Udaipur which cost 5,500 rupees which was fine. But then asked us to pay them their commission of 1,500, so in other words they charged us £15 to make a 2 minute phone call to book a cab! I understand a small commission fee, but really for this hotel it should be part of the service in my mind.

I chose this place on the basis of its TA reviews. This turned out to be a great thing to do. We were in room 101, the grandfather’s room. It was large, was highly decorated and had a settee and chairs and a good sized bed. While the towels could be whiter and the traffic noise in the evening is unavoidable, the history evident from the pictures and the haveli museum more than makes up for these. There is a really good open restaurant at the top, also highly recommended.

Stayed for two nights and really enjoyed it. Our room was fantastic - huge and beautifully decorated. Although we were in the middle of the city, it was quiet and peaceful. Afternoon tea was nice and there are great views of the Fort from the restaurant. Location is great for exploring the local markets and lake. Staff were nice.

We expected some convenience of getting a safe parking from a 4 star heritage property sadly there is enough space for the owner cars but not for the people who book a room. It's like you paid to stay but the basic amenities will not be accessible to you because it is a funny rule. I agree when you use the restaurant this rule is okay but when a person plans to spend a night or two he should look for the other things like parking etc at some place else.
