I like the fruity scent from the moment I entered the hotel lobby. The counter staff is very professional and even gave me a key card when I requested for an additional one. I like the clean bedsheet and the hot shower. Highly recommended.

Walking distance from CIQ is really convenient. We were in Room 1703, the bathroom tiles are slightly mouldy, the pillows smells too.

Had a pleasant 2D1N stay. Very strong water pressure from the shower head which is a bonus. Location is superb.

Housekeeping did not change new bedsheet and pillowcases when we checked into the room. They merely tidy up the bedsheet and pillowcases USED BY the previous guests. The pillows emitted strong smell of months-old pillow case. Very disgusting and smelt of human sweat and oily hair smell. The blanket has lots of creases and looked like someone slept on it for days. We called housekeeping to change the pillowcases and bedsheet. When we came back to the room, only the bedsheet were replaced. The pillows were still the same used pillowcases! When we approached the housekeeper, they denied this and insisted they changed it. However, we can still spot the same stains on all the pillows! This is unacceptable practice from a reputable hotel group. Request for new pillow cases were unbelievable hard, they could not provide clean fresh pillowcases for us. Even the pillowcases from the housekeeper’s trolley felt like they were used before and simply folded back without washing. I will think twice before staying at this hotel again.

We loved the location as City Square and JBCC is within walking distance.
View from room is good too.
However, some amenities needed to be improved. For eg. the clips of the hangers are loose; the aircon will turn on automatically.
Overall it was a relaxing stay. Thank you Holiday Inn.

Room is quite clean but the pillow cases smell and we got the housekeeping staff to help change the pillow cases. Service is okay, wrote in to request for a birthday cake as it is my partner’s birthday but didn’t get a reply from them at all.
Overall, stay is okay, but might choose other hotels next time.

Excellent services from holiday inn hotel at Johor Bahru. Definitely recommend everyone to stay this hotel in the city centre with fantastic services and friendly hotel staff.
