Marriott's Maui Ocean Club - Molokai, Maui & Lanai Towers

Jesteśmy właścicielami Marriott Vacation Club od 2005 roku. Od tego czasu odwiedzamy ten obiekt prawie co roku. Kiedy nasi synowie byli młodzi, co roku wszyscy czekaliśmy na nasz „dom z dala od domu”. Nasz najmłodszy syn oświadczył się nawet swojej obecnej żonie tutaj w 2019 roku. Głównym punktem sprzedaży, kiedy kupiliśmy naszą własność (na luksus, na który większość rodzin nie może sobie pozwolić), było to, że Marriott różnił się od „w oznaczonym czasie” i że bylibyśmy traktowani jak rodzina a wraz z rozwojem naszej własności… nasze doświadczenie jest ulepszane. Większość z tego była prawdą do ostatnich 5 lat. Kiedy Marriott zaczął wykupywać inne firmy, takie jak Westin… nasze doświadczenie zaczęło się zmieniać. Czas rezerwacji w naszym ośrodku stał się niezwykle trudny. Mimo że osiągnęliśmy status prezydenta, nie otrzymaliśmy niewiele, jeśli w ogóle, pomocy w rezerwacji wakacji, których pragnęliśmy. Nasza tegoroczna podróż to najnowszy przykład naszych problemów z MVC. 11 miesięcy temu zarezerwowaliśmy trzy noce na Maui i cztery noce w Waikoloa. Od kwietnia staramy się połączyć te noce w sześć nocy na Maui, ponieważ nasze plany się zmieniły. Mimo że mogliśmy zobaczyć, że na stronie Marriott.com są dostępne 2 sypialnie, powiedziano nam, że są one przeznaczone dla „płacących” klientów i nie są dostępne dla właścicieli. Zaufaj mi…z opłatami serwisowymi, które płacimy co roku…płacimy klientom. Oczywiście Marriott wyprzedał własność lub nie udostępnia właścicielom wystarczającej ilości zapasów, ponieważ chcą osiągnąć większy zysk z pokoju. Kto wie. W tym tygodniu, kiedy o 14:30 zameldowaliśmy się w Maui Ocean Club, kobieta przy biurku nie zameldowałaby mnie bez męża. Byłem upokorzony, gdy stałem z naszymi przyjaciółmi i próbowałem wyjaśnić, że to ja dokonałem rezerwacji i że moje nazwisko jest również na naszej własności. Powiedziała, że nie może nas zameldować, dopóki mój mąż nie przedstawi prawa jazdy. Mój mąż zajmował się naszymi torbami i samochodem… więc stałam tam zawstydzona, dopóki nie mógł przyjść do recepcji. Potem mieliśmy, d nasz pokój nie był gotowy, ale gwarantowaliśmy, że będzie gotowy do 16:00. Poszliśmy do baru przy basenie i wypiliśmy koktajl do 16:00. Kiedy wróciliśmy po klucze, powiedziano nam, że nasz pokój nie jest gotowy i nie wiedzieli, kiedy to będzie, i kazano nam czekać w holu. Czekaliśmy około 15 minut, a następnie poprosiłem o czas, kiedy moglibyśmy iść do naszego pokoju. Powiedziano mi, że możemy przejść do „zamkniętej” części naszego pokoju. To było dla nas nie do przyjęcia. Czy cała nasza czwórka miała po prostu siedzieć na łóżku naszego przyjaciela? Nie mogliśmy się rozpakować ani zadomowić. Śmieszne. Rozmawiałem z kierownikiem i chociaż był miły i dał nam skromny kredyt hotelowy… nie było rozwiązania aż do godziny 17:00. Mam uwierzyć, że jeśli był problem z pokojem, który nam przydzielili, to nie było innego dostępnego pokoju? Ośrodek nie jest tak pełny. Ponadto, gdy dokonaliśmy rezerwacji 11 miesięcy temu, poprosiliśmy o wieżę Napili. Nasz pokój znajduje się w Lahaina. To całkiem fajny pokój, ale nie nasz ulubiony

Pleasantly surprised! I’ve been reading all the negative comments and was leery about coming. It’s been amazing. Yes they are starting renovations in June but I wouldn’t say the room was horrible just needs an update. We traded through interval international and Marriott finally honored our category being an ocean view room. It was incredible!!! I had a bad experience in the past with Marriott and trading in with vacation club points for an oceanview and I was so upset because it was a parking lot view, I had vowed never to come back but being 12 years ago my anger has softened and was very happy to have changed my mind. We will be back!!

First off I want to say how great the staff is here, my review of the staff is five stars. This is a review of the management and lack of policies of this property. If you are not traveling with children I would avoid this property. The pool area was closed yesterday because a child pooped in it. Gross, but ok, I thought, I'll roll with it and have a nice soak in the hot tub. NOPE. All hot tubs were FILLED with small children, including BABIES IN DIAPERS! Gross, and not sure that is good for babies. Ok, I thought, I will go have a nice nap upstairs in the room. NOPE. Children screaming at the top of their lungs in the lobby. The whole pool area of both pools are littered with trash, children's floatys and toys. It's just gross. I won't come back here and opt for a nicer less kid centric place, or trade out for a Marriott with an adult pool option. And yes, I love kids, I raised a couple of my own but I never assumed everyone around them wanted to hear them screaming or let them leave their toys and litter around shared spaces.

We are owners at Ko'Olina on Oahu but have been exchanging one week of our ownership every year for a week at this resort because we love it just as much as out home resort. You simply can't beat its location on Kaanapali Beach, the availability of beach chairs and cabanas, as well as access to all the great shops and restaurants at Whaler's Village. We just left a day ago and can't say enough about the great staff and cleanliness of the rooms and common areas throughout the Lahaina and Napili Towers. I've never stayed in the renovated hotel suites so can't comment on those, although I've seen the models and they aren't bad if you don't intend to cook while you're there. My wife doesn't like to eat out every night (a couple times during a 7 day stay is enough) and prefers to cook. But, I highly recommend the resort as it's an excellent place to stay.

I'm hoping this review get's seen by many and corporate. This was the worst experience I have ever encountered in a Resort. The quality of service and what you get in return is not worth it. Let me start by just stating when I showed up for checking in. I have never ever felt racially profiled, until I went to this Resort. People in front of me were being treated with such great hospitality, smiling at them, educating them on all the perks the resort had. Then here I come to the front. The guys name was Jonathan. the first thing he tells me is, "I'm not ready". I said no problem, stood there and waited. We proceeded to checking in. I was being rushed, talked down on, was not explained anything about the benefits of the resort. i got an attitude and my key cards thrown at me. I got a deal through customer care and he did not want to honor it and said to me "This is to expensive for you, you can call care and pay through them then i will check you in". I kept is as professional as I could and responded just get me a room and charge whatever you need. It was such a horrible experience to start with and on my wife's birthday. My wife wanted to leave but i stuck it out and proceeded as the travel was long. The room, the room smelled nasty, the cabinets on the inside full of dust. The staff, rude, arrogant, when I would walk and pass the front desk, no good morning or any type of greet. I asked for some towels, they told me they would deliver me some, never came. I felt as though i was being treated different just because my ethnicity was different. The last night i stayed was the worst. i woke up in the middle of the night because my wife was telling me she felt uncomfortable and itchy. I didn't pay to much attention to what she said, and here we go. Maybe an hour later i see small black critters jumping. I woke up with bites on my arms. I was really upset and left early in the morning. That was incredibly uncomfortable and nasty. This was the worst experience and i hope they don't treat customers like they treated me. As well as check the rooms well, because you might find insects. Will never recommend to anyone.

This is a very nice resort with beautiful beaches. The food and drink prices are very high. $18 for a poolside drink and $20 for a sandwich at the resort Marketplace. Beautifully landscaped pool areas with a really nice children's pool area. very safe area for toddlers. No washer and dryers in the suites, but they are free to guests in the laundry area down at the pool area.

We stayed in the main hotel section, not the towers. This stay was our first major disappointment as vacation club owners. The room was very dated and not well-maintained. There were drink ring stains on the furniture and shelving, for example. The bathrooms had visible wear and tear such as paint and scuff marks. The hotel lobby and common areas looked shabby and run down. I was honestly shocked when we arrived at the appearance of the property. We only ate one meal on-site. It was mediocre at best and extremely overpriced for what we had. We decided not to eat on-sight again after that. This hotel needs to step up its game. It is not on par with other Marriott resorts and not worth the vacation club points we spent to stay there.

Super comfy bed, well-appointed room. Couch, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, and dishes make for a good space to bring some food in. Bathroom was a little old school, tub with combined shower. We were in the Lanai tower just steps from the ocean. The balcony is literally where we spent most of our room time (when not snorkeling, at one of the great nearby restaurants, or in the hot tub and pool). Truly beautiful whale watching from the balcony day and night. Being on the 4th floor, we left only the screen shut to allow in the sounds of the sea. Hot tubs and pool are very well designed and there is plenty of space for those who are with families or who want a little time in a quieter tub. The beach is fantastic, and there is snorkeling right from the property - depending on the surf. You could easily walk up to the Whaler's shops, walk to a boat excursion, etc. Dining on site is good. Beach Walk Kau Kau to Go is good for a few things like pizza or a Buddha bowl. They have specials depending on the night of the week. We had belgian waffles with macadamia nuts, hazlenut spread, blueberries, strawberries, and whipped cream for Valentine's day. The Lokelani pool bar has great virgin pina coladas. There's also a poolside tiki bar. We did not visit Longhi's restaurant, but we did happen by a couple of times and we regretted not having the time to check it out. There's a cockatoo named Kukui (like the nut) on the premises. He is fun to say Aloha to (he can say "pretty bird," and "hi baby," among other things). Staff were friendly. Theresa at the front desk was extra helpful and kind.

Another Hawaiian Dud. Too much money for a room that has neither good food nor good drinks anywhere in site. Even if you are to find food and drinks to your liking they will be exorbitantly expensive. Stay somewhere else. Or just go to the Caribbean and save your Hawaii money for a more meaningful stay than this one.
