Very weird stay ! The front desk does nothing for you and tells you that on arrival . The room felt like a basement . No ocean view like was told . The area was run down .

First of all, upon my arrival at the vacation the staff/ receptionist were extremely unfriendly. I didn’t feel warm or welcomed and my question were vaguely answered as “contact the owner”. I would of preferred more information as far as the area/ parking remedies or anything really. Secondly the room had ants. And no amenities such as shampoo or conditioner as other typical hotels provide. Nothing was complimentary, not even the coffee filters or coffee. I will not be staying here again.

The hotel check in lady was an interesting figure. Perhaps, it was just a bad day but i feel it was very unprofessional. She lied about having our code to our room stating we need to contsct the owner as they dont have the info… then when i pressed for information she showed me the screen that had the inform. Infectious scrutiny is require for a simple request.

Close to everything and yet quiet (there during Ironman). Issues with shower door were resolved once I found out that staff working there are not responsible for this (had to contact owner of unit). Response was quick once they were informed.

We loved our stay! Hawai’i feels like home to us and Kona Islander did too! The sweet, lush jungle-like greenery, the cozy clean apartment, the pool and hot tub, the kind charming hosts at the front desk, and the peaceful neighbors were more than we could wish. And of course the ocean view and downtown Kona from our sweet balcony was a gem. Thank you guys! Highly recommend and would stay again and again here!

The only thing we liked was we had one of the few rooms that overlooked the beach and water across the street. Even thought access to the beach was across the road and private with no access. At least we had the view and could sit on a low wall at the edge of the road. Parking ******! There was only enough parking for about a fourth of the units and was told we would have to park on the street around the block if you could find one. It looked as if most of the units were condos that people were living in all year. Some employee was tagging some cars not parked right with other cars next to them angled across the line not tagged. I had to use one of their disabled parking spots my last night and got a ticket because my disability tag was in use in my car at the airport disabled parking lot at home. I was looking for 2 queen beds. The picture I saw online showed two queen beds. (NOT) turned out there was a wall of mirrors that made it look like there was. 2nd bed was a hide-a-bed.

First day no shower head kitchen area had black mold around sink area but the worst was staff very unprofessional also homeless people in trash bins

The positives: The unit (252) we had had a side view of the ocean and view looking up the street. The bed was comfortable. The fridge kept things nice and cold and the microwave and coffee maker worked well. Dishes, cups, and glasses were available. The pool is great. The grounds are beautiful. We were lucky with parking and only had to park off-site once. The staff was great!!! The negatives: The unit could be cleaner. The floors could stand to be washed. The dish drainer bottom was Dirty. The cabinet under the sink could be cleaner. A roach motel would be a nice addition. (Knew they could be part of our stay, them having their own "motel" would have been nice.) There was one spoon, one fork, and four butter knives. More silverware would have been nice, and one sharp knife. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
