Gradonna Mountain Resort Chalets & Hotel

What a place, views, availability of things and staff. Swimming pool, ski slopes. Especially Markus, he made my day with his service, happy person. I enjoyed my trip. It is worth staying, if you have a faimly, kids will love you :)

Overall this is a wonderful property with a very good restaurant. The room was large and very nice. However, there was no AC or fan to push the air around. There were a lot of mosquitoes, so leaving a door or window open was not an option due to no screens. So my only suggestion would be to offer some type of fan during the summer stays

We were a group of 26 with multiple families and kids ranging from 4-14. The place is very modern with most staff able to speak English. Reception was very helpful. The food here is very good. Breakfast had lots of options and choices. They had tea time which has a few cakes and snacks. The dinner here is amazing with lots of options and the menu suiting all dietary requirements. We had someone with us who has allergies and the waiters catered for her every meal. They accommodated us seating all together. The bar is quite expensive, they did have a free mocktail making class which happened twice a week, for kids 12+ (they did allow younger kids). They had a ski shop onsite which was easy to use and rent equipment and took about 45 minutes for a family of 4 to gather all their equipment. The people there were very helpful. They had a kids club for younger kids, we didn’t use it. The ski school they have only accommodates kids under 13 and beginners. The meals the kids got at lunch on the slopes were of limited choice giving vegetarians only chips. Kids who were older were allowed to order their own food. The pools and spa were nice and they had complimentary hazelnuts and drinks / herbal tea A few issues: - If you had friends in a room above level 4 and you booked a room under level 4, we weren’t able to visit them without going in their lift. (They had one lift that goes from -1 to 4 and the other lift going from -1 to 11 which only people who booked above level 4 could use) - Their wasn’t much entertainment for older kids except one football table which costs a euro each game. - The outdoor pool could have been warmer and it took multiple complaints to have someone check the temperature and not change anything The room was very nice and had a view of the mountains. The cleaners were very good too.

With big expectations to select a special place for birth- and wedding-day we decided for this resort. Booking was complicated as promotions weren`t given when booking via ***********. Finally being there the welcome at reception was quite frosty (a little like in too big hotels) The rooms were very nice, the waiters from hungary and slovakia extremely polite and they keep in our best mind. The restaurant has an ambience like sitting in a mensa of a big university. Food is on the same level - no phantasy. Coming after a long hike back an enjoy the spa- the experience in the cellar was also without any emotion. 2 hot saunas - not recreational sauna. In the silence are the installations of the pools are making a permanent uncomfortable noise. Why the heart is missing? We had a great info from our family that 4 weeks too early our daughter got a child. When leaving one day earlier we asked for some discount for leaving and received an answer which we were really not expecting: "There are some more sad reasons to have to leave earlier. A newborn is no reason." Thank you for these clear words. Even since this time I wouldn`t hand over a bonus voucher to anyone. Great mountains arround but no Hotel to feel welcome.

I am in Gradona second time, and I must say that even we had some complication to get information in the begining, thanks to personal initiative, director Brigitte Berger we got it resolved and it come with great service and amazing time spent here. Service is really superior. Looking forward to come third time.

Fantastic with 5*

A very warm heating welcome. The rooms are big enough but a bit to warm so the air is very dry. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Breakfast room is huge and everybody can find something. Dinner wqs delicious and our waiter Victor was very nice. Kids club was a hit for the kids amd also the kids pool. Outside area is spacious and you have a lovely view. It is a quiet spot qnd you can enjoy the silence and the mountains.

Dit is een mooi tophotel op unieke locatie met prachtig uitzicht. Service hoog niveau. Halfpension zeer goed. Ook ruime kamers en proper. De outdoorpool is lekker warm en je hebt adembenemend uitzicht. Ook indoor en welness zeer mooi. Hier kom je tot rust.
