I stayed for one night for sightseeing in Kampala. Kenendia was a mid-range establishment and I slept well there. It was clean, but slightly worn out. There was no elevator. My room had no AC, but the temperature stayed at a comfortable level. There was a mosquito net for the bed. Breakfast was included in my room rate. There were three options for breakfast. It was prepared fresh, but it took a whopping 35 minutes to prepare it. My room was cleaned while I was having breakfast, even though I was just about to check out. I had booked through a major booking site. When checking in they seemed to have no information about my booking, but it seemed like business as usual for them. They wanted to see a hard copy of my reservation email and after reading from there what kind of booking I have, I was brought to my room. The location was a bit outside of the city center. The walking environment was quite unpleasant with chaotic traffic, dirty streets and the sidewalks often blocked by parked cars etc. The hotel had its own restaurant, but otherwise there were no restaurants closeby.
