We had 2 rooms,a suite with a lake view and a deluxe room with a lake view for 2 nights.The view especially from the suite was really good. Unfortunately we had so many issues too many to mention all but a few were the air conditioning in the suite was only noticeable in the living area but it was not directed towards the bedroom so it was really hard to get a good night sleep unless you slept in the living area. The aircon units are obviously too small for the deluxe room as it never really got cool enough when you were trying to sleep.The dining room had no aircon at all and even though the dinner and service was good and we were the only people in the dining room,it was very unpleasant without the air conditioning. They gave each of us a different password for the Internet that had to be replaced with a different password every couple of hours even though it says it last for 24 hours. When someone gets into the roof top pool the water was dripping onto the balcony of the deluxe room. There is no place to hang your towel when you are in the suite shower but the deluxe room had a hook behind the door. The lighting switches were difficult to understand and the bathroom fan constantly roared, they also wanted us to pay for 2 extra water bottles which is unheard of in Sri Lanka .This hotel cost us nearly AUD $400 for a night for a deluxe room and management obviously opened without checking or testing anything in the hotel first. One day this hotel may be worth while trying again,if the price comes down but at the moment being one of the dearest in Kandy, you can certainly do better.
