Bostan Gullistan was one of the best stays I had during my time in Kashmir, Srinagar. I cannot emphasis how good the service was from the butler to the cook!. Food was always hot and really delicious. We felt very welcome and at home. The view of the mountains from the houseboat was beautiful. Thank you to Mr Ashraf/Mr Yacub and all that provided top notch service to me and my family!. If you ever come to Kashmir do check them out! Best stay ever!

Great experience to stay on a house boat. The place was clean and cosy, the staff was very friendly. The shikaras (small boat) bring you ashore or to any other place you wish to go, like the morning vegetable market. This again done by very friendly staff. It is of course a boat and not your usual hotel room, but once you are used to it, it is a great place to stay!

Their service is exceptional. One of the nicest places i’ve been to. They are so accomodating & nice. The food taste amazing too! Would love to come back in Summer/Spring. Definitely reccomend to those who are considering to go.

Truly a beautiful cozy home and a unique experience. Service (butler, house workers etc) is friendly, always available and approachable. They made this boathouse feel like home and took care of all our needs such as food preferences, heater, WiFi, safety and even bargaining tips —making sure we get the best prices, which I feel is always a concern as tourists 😆. Even arranged for a tailor to visit the boathouse and alter a dress from fabric despite my last minute request. Managed to get it ready in a few hours :) The house is beautifully crafted with wood, spacious with a living room, kitchen and rooms. There is even a garden! Rest assured, you will be taken care of here. Though the place is beautiful, the hospitality here (by our guide Yaqub and the workers) is honestly what makes this place and whole experience more memorable 😊

Bestest 😆 hotel we stayed in Kashmir. Service was tiptop. The food was excellent. We got to choose the menu for each meal. The cook even made us Malaysian food like fried noodles and fried rice. All the helps were very friendly and accommodating too. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

ReVisited Kashmir this November (last visit was August 2022) to catch the autumn colours.. and stayed again at Bostan Gulistan on Dal Lake. Once again enjoyed the hospitality and clean accommodation and yummy food served. Weather is cold at this time of the year. Enjoyed the traditional heating used in the boathouse which is quite an experience. When visiting Srinagar, Highly recommend staying at the Bostan Gulistan House Boat.

Stayed in the houseboat for 4 nights and it has been wonderful every moment we spent time there. Comfortable room, excellent butler service by Hassan and Yassim who were always there to provide assistance, chef who cooked warm and appetising food going out of the way at times to cook food on request and instructions. Great location where we went atop the houseboat for good photo shots. There's a bathtub in the toilet but no stopper. Water pressure was good and sufficient hot water to bath. Great to have met the boss and his family on this trip who is very handson and checks in on his guests regularly. Maybe because its a houseboat, the walls separating rooms were thin and not soundproof thus we could hear the next room.and the floor boards creak on each footstep. Otherwise excellent stay

Ideal place to have enchanting & romantic atmosphere. Unforgettable lifetime moments to cherish. Feel like visiting again & again. Any age groups can enjoy to the fullest. Decor & ambience is amazing indeed!

Amazing service provided. Food is great, people there are very welcoming and helpful to attend to our needs. View is absolutely stunning, both day and night. Really enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommend to all!

The houseboat sits amidst the beauty of nature and enjoys breathtaking views of the snow covered peaks of the Pir Panjal mountains.
The richness of history is also present, silently proclaiming the Valley’s tradition of tolerance: distant silhouettes of the hilltop temple shankaracharya founded by the famous philosopher-saint Adi Shankara in the eighth century and the impressive sixteenth century fort built by the Mughal Emperor, Akbar the Great can both be seen from the boat.
