The location is very close to thamel and easy to get onto the main road.
The refrigerator is broken and there are several towels has new stain that couldn’t be removed.
The security guard/bus boy immediately grab your luggage and assist you to your room BUT expect to tip him $5.

The staff were friendly and accommodated and early check in. The location is good and amenetirs nearby.
Small negative that breakfast was advertised form 7am but still wasn’t ready at 7.45am.
Thanks for the comfortable stay.

We loved our stay here, especially the times we spent in the courtyard restaurant. Laxman was lovely and took great care of us there.

peaceful environment and the hospitality is very good. U can do yoga yourself on hotel ground early morning. And spa services was excellent. I recommend to all once u most have to go for spa after your trek. Thank you Hotel encounter.

Excellent location, exceptional staff, great amenities, and an unbelievable price. The hotel is located just outside of the bustiling (and chaotic) Thamel and the more refined and white collar Lazimpat. Everything shopping/dining related is walking distance away and for local sight seeing the front desk will help book fixed and fair priced taxis. I highly recommend this hotel

I liked the property as it is clean and a lot of greenery in and around the property. Room was good but did not have basic things like all lights were not working. Bathroom's tab did not have proper water flow. And no actions were taken after informing them multiple times. Food was not good and did not have room service.

I had the pleasure of staying with Hotel Encounter 4 separate times in 2 1/2 weeks, and it was a fantastic experience. The staff was excellent, the food was incredible, and the rooms are a nice safe-haven when you are so far from home. I am so appreciative. Thank you, Hotel Encounter, for taking such great care of me!

I love the hotel staff here!! Everybody so accommodating to us from getting extra towels, fans, or extending our stay in the evening until we fly out. The chicken sausages are better than the other hotels we stayed in. I love having local fruits with my yogurt in the morning and omelette with tomatoes. If you are looking for a location close to the shops but away from the busy traffic and tourism, this place is perfect. It is off a main street but within walking distance to the shops. Great value for comfortable stay in Kathmandu. Please talk to Bikash Phuyal. They are very understanding and super helpful or have a chat with them and learn more about Nepalese culture, politics, economic, or recommendations.
