Spent seven days in Thamel Eco Resort. Feels like home. Clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. I love the garden cafe here. This place is at the heart of Thamel. So in the afternoon, it's great to shop around here and at night it's close to a lot of entertainment.

This is a good budget hotel in a great location with a lovely courtyard garden to escape to from the bustle of busy Kathmandu. I think some previous reviewers were expecting more because they called it a resort. It’s a good hotel with attentive staff. The water is properly hot (a plus in Nepal!) and the bathroom was relatively modern. We were in a twin room and my friend’s bed was comfortable but mine was quite hard. When I asked if this could be attended to the next day they replaced the mattress without fuss. We enjoyed our stay here.

We stayed here about 5 years ago and since then nothing has been improved or updated. We always liked the garden area but now it is being used for storage of items and so less area to relax and spend quality time. Also new businesses have opened nearby which has increased the noise later into the night. But it is relatively inexpensive and food is reasonable so there are trade-offs.

Very unprofessional in management. We prebooked our rooms, but after arrival they shifted us to another hotel by the excuse that the rooms are still occupied. The receptionist and the manager had no apology and did not manage rooms and weren't even informed in the shifted hotels. Moreover during check-out, they made complexities in providing printed bills.

The hotel I stay at each time I visit Kathmandu. I stayed a total of 4 nights. Hotel has comfortable rooms, clean bathrooms, good AC. All staff excellent from front desk, kitchen, and cleaning. Very good breakfast buffet each morning with hot food choices to non-hot choices; coffee, tea, and punch provided. I particularly enjoy the lunch and dinner options on the hotel menu. Bikash, the manager, works hard to ensure guests have a good stay.

I love this place. Centrally located in busy of thamel. Staff were great and manager co-operate us so nice and quiet.Breakfast awesome. Beautiful Garden.I would like to recommend everyone to stay here.

Wifi is fast. Breakfast is to the point. Comfortable room 311. Comfortable room 407. Stayed in both. Liked them both. Great spot to start and end your trip in Kathmandu. Walking distance to some great shopping and plenty of eating options as well. In house restaurant was very solid though. Great spot and awesome staff!
