Bertam Resort,Penang

My second time to Penang so this time around I booked Bertam Resorts. Here I listed out pros and cons of staying here. Pros: 1. Restaurants/shops are all near and accessible. And since I went there during Eid al-Adha, there are still some shops open, only that very few. 2. Pool is clean and huge, even the kid's pool is huge as some parents will get in to the pool to watch over their kids. 3. Interior & exterior designs are so picturesque! Make sure you bring out your OOTD outfit - Arabic/Morrocan one. 4. Maintenance service responded timely when we informed that our room's WiFi is not working properly. Cons: 1. Cannot check-ins early (if wants, need to pay extra RM50). Previously I have checked-in other hotels room, usually this will be no issue so long the room is ready and no extra charges. 2. Stairs to the lobby - we have to drop-off my parents in front of the lobby. We cannot use buggy to bring our luggage to the car or for our parents to ride. This leads to car queueing infront of the lobby when check-ins/check-outs. 3. Our toilet clogged - I tried to drain as much water as possible but it's not possible since it's near to toilet bowl and very slippery. 4. If wants to take the pool's towel, we have to drop our hotel card. In which I think not a safe practice considering we don't bring our stuffs together - wallet, money etc. to the pool and leave it in the room. 5. Game room is not open until 12 pm. Hopefully the hotel's management considers it to be open early in the morning until 12 am. 6. The hotel room's arrangement is not as flexible. I booked 2+1 rooms but we have to explain over and over again why then they keeps asking the same question in which taking so much time to simply check-ins. Overall, I hope that they will improve to be better.

It is really nice place that u can relax & the same time u can enjoy the moment.. The decorations is so great, Arabian Morocco style..

Good and very nice place to stay.. Easy to go through for the room and owner very understanding and helpful.

Very kids friendly hotel. Swimming pool is also big. Kids play room open till 10pm. Breakfast are delicious. Waterpark also clean. Toilet in waterpark is also clean compared to sunway lagoon, tambun.

The trip was fun. Love the ambience, the staf, repection, porters were really amazing and helpful. But wataerpark pool was a bit not satisfactory. The water is cloudy as the foooor needs proper maintenance. But love their inside poil. Big, clean and lots of resting places.

hotel cantik .. masa book request bilik view pool dlm apps trip pon tunjuk view pool...tp xdpt... dpt view parking... hari first turun breakfast jam 9.30 makanan dah habis licin...ada nasi je...ayam habis terus... mybe cuti sekolah terlalu rmi org... btw hotel cantik sgt2

Room is clean,superb,huge and facilities are tip top. Location is not really attractive and no activities during night time..however the pool is huge. The hotel should include the water park ticket in the booking as optional to the guest.

Awesome and fully satisfied. Love the ambiance, and the best part is, Souk Bertam themepark is just a walk away. Will definitely visit again with my whole anak² & cucu

Nice pools, nice themes, breakfast ok but same option only for everyday, stayed 4d3n they only changed ayam masak rendang/ayam masak merah and tomato cheese/corn cheese other dishes stay the same. The dinner buffet have excellent and many types of dessert, too pretty to eat. Very generous with bath gel and shampoo they gave you big bottle but no conditioner I'm ok with it, tooth brush too small and pointy hurt my gums.. Very nice Bertam Resort will visit again!!
