I have actually stayed here during three visits in Khajuraho - and I will definately come again! The family is so helpful and friendly, the food is very good, the location is superb and the room is spacious and clean. I really love how you stay in an old and quiet neighbourhood - but within short walking distance to "downtown" (well.... as quiet as Indian villages comes at least). Ravi is fun and interesting to talk to - and will help you any way he can.

One of India’s hidden gem is “Friends of Khajuraho.” It all begins with Ravi Soni, the host. Welcoming, kind, fun and an authority in all things Khajuraho and India. My time with him, his family and friends will forever be carved in a special place in my heart. Look no more when looking for” home away from home,” Friends of Khajuraho is clean & comfortable. The food is home made and delicious. On a side note, Ravi is a leader in his community and runs several projects that look to give back so your support go a long way. I look forward coming back! Cozy homestay right in front of the Brahma temple (literally 10 meters). It really feels like staying within a family, Ravi is a friend and an adorable person and will help you with anything (he knows the city extremely well). Inside there's also a shop where another really good guy, Ramji, produces by hand a variety of beautiful statues (I bought one), cool addition. Clean, comfortable, very good food, what else? Ah, you can reach another of the most beautiful temples of the city in 5 minutes walk.

This is a modest establishment, even as per Indian parameters. So, stay only if you want to try for the sake of trying something different, or if you have budget constraints. The hosts are friendly and humble. The place is safe.
