The Resort is beautiful placed at the Beach, we had a front row villa. Nice room, good size and an outdoor bathroom, a r eally good Beach vibe. The Facilities are fine, Sun beds at the Beach and a good pool. The restaurant prices are more expensive than the other restaurants and they don’t deliver the same quality. The reason for My 3 star review is the lazy and lack of service from the staff. You get the feeling of people that makes an effort to do a minium of effort to get through the day. Cleaning is at a minimum, breakfast buffet is dirty and they don’t full up unless you tell them. Sumpede are not serviced and we didn’t get new small Towers through our 5 day stay. It’s a 4 star hotel and you should expect more than they deliver. In generel it’s a good choice, but a better management could change a lot with a frw changes.

Some of the accommodations have now been modernized, but the older cabins are in such poor condition that they are no longer allowed to be rented out: no hot water, no safe, no refrigerator, no beach chairs - and the air conditioning is only turned on at night ( where you could simply open the windows if the mosquito net wasn't broken). There can be no question of room service - one hopes that at least the beds will be changed after the change of guests. The staff in the restaurant are friendly, but apparently untrained and overwhelmed. Even though breakfast is officially served until 10 a.m., no more coffee is made after 9 a.m. There is a wild garbage dump behind the complex.

Here’s everything you need to know: We were a little nervous by the reviews we had seen being that we are usually harsher reviewers than most. But to our surprise we really enjoyed our time here :) The beach is incredible, not perfectly white fine sand but a beautiful color nonetheless and incredible shallow turquoise water with coral in close reach but far enough to enjoy the calm, warm water especially ideal with children. As like most beaches in the region, the tide can have a big impact on your experience and requires a little bit of planning. No two low tides are the same, some can be quite low where you basically can go for a beautiful walk on the rocks, others can still make for a great swim. The time changes per day but staff are all well informed through an app and can advise you daily so you can plan around it. Remember all the beaches on the other side have the same issue but even more so and at lease the water is always calm here! The beach is soooo isolated tucked away from everything whereas the other side of the island is property by property. Only once for a short window of time on the weekend we saw a few long tail boats pull up nearby with organized day tours. The bungalows are beautifully decorated just as seen in the photos. Housekeeping does a great job keeping them clean, and the hot water and air conditioning work perfectly. The only downside is that the rooms are lined up on a straight path moving inland from the beach and main property in chronological order. So if you are in the end 15-30, it can be a bit of a walk back and forth. Luckily, we were moved from room 23 to room 5 with our small child which was a HUGE help. Our only other complaint is that the mattress was to firm for our taste, but worth the sacrifice. The swimming pool is clean and a perfect place to be when the tide gets too low. Though it is uncovered so sunscreen is needed during the harsher hours of the day. The restaurant makes some truly delicious food. The menu does not change but is quite extensive between western, eastern, and Thai dishes. Prices are higher than other parts but are still very reasonable. The bartenders make some great drinks and smoothies, some of the best fresh coconuts we’ve ever had too! Dinner seating daily on the beach is such a treat! They had two play areas for kids and activities available which our daughter absolutely loved. Most importantly to us: the people were wonderful and kind even if not at the higher standards we are used to. This was our biggest fear when booking but it came clear to us early on that the employees are overworked and understaffed. A sad truth about a lot of resorts in the area and I can understand that they can appear grumpy at times or missing some attention to detail, but they respond to smiles with smiles and to kindness with kindness. We spent a few days living in a superior room. Superior rooms are located on a light hill, but it is worth taking a few steps under the top, because they give more privacy than those at the bottom (even those with higher standards) and have a better view (except for the most expensive villas). The house itself was a few years old, but it was spacious and clean. For minus a pretty loud air conditioner on the terrace. Breakfasts without awesome, but it's rather a standard in Thai hotels. But the dishes with the cards are very tasty. The location of course is amazing. Koh Ngai is a chamber, beautiful paradise island. It made me the most impressed of the places you have visited in Thailand. It is worth spending a few days out of civilization. Prices for Koh Ngai are high (as for Thailand), but it is known - the smaller the island the more expensive:)

Just wonderful. Outstandingly beautiful location. We loved: The welcome from our longtail and help from the staff to take our luggage to shore. Free kayaks and snorkel gear...and water! Spacious bathrooms Interesting wildlife including tucans...hermit crabs...lizards Dive man!!! Took our 11 year old for first dive Fabulous chef...utterly wonderful food. First class Great waiters Comfy beds Child friendly and felt safe

Only a short walk from Mookies to Farang Beach, a truly tropical paradise....The bungalows at Mookies were excellent, clean and very comfortable beds. The fridge is a very nice touch. The food was quick and fast and very tasty. Of course you have other restaurants nearby if you can possibly tire of Wan and her crews offering. Nick her husband was always ready to give some advice and have a good story to share. All in all, good prices for both bungalows and food and drink.

ผมมานอนห้อง deluxe sea breeze (ไม่ติดทะเล,ที่พักอยู่ด้านหลัง) 1 คืน ราคาประมาณ 3,600 บาท พนักงานต้อนรับอัธยาศัยดี ยิ้มแย้มแจ่มใส ผมมาเที่ยวกับแฟน และเพื่อนอีก 1 คน มาถึงที่พักตอนประมาณเวลา 18:30 ผมกับแฟนนอนที่เดอ ธารา พอเก็บของเสร็จ(เจ้าหน้าที่มาเปิดแอร์ไว้ให้ แอร์ไม่ค่อยเย็นแต่ยังไม่มีน้ำรั่ว) แล้วออกไปส่งเพื่อนที่พักอีกที่หนึ่ง ราคาประมาณ 800 บาท ไปถึงที่พักของเพื่อน เจ้าหน้าที่มาต้อนรับด้วย welcome drink และแจ้งว่ามีปัญหาเรื่องห้องน้ำมีน้ำรั่ว ให้รอแก้ไขสักครู่หนึ่ง เพื่อนเลยตัดสินใจฝากของไว้แล้วออกไปรับประทานอาหารกันระหว่างรอแก้ไข วันนั้นผมไปเที่ยวเกาะต่างๆ ดำน้ำทั้งวัน แล้วเข้าเกาะมุกมาเพื่อรับประทานอาหาร และรีบพักผ่อนเพราะเหนื่อยมาทั้งวัน พอผมรับประทานอาหารเสร็จ ผมกลับห้องมาตอนประมาณ 20:40 มีน้ำแอร์หยดเต็มพื้นห้อง และ แอร์ไม่เย็น โทรแจ้งเจ้าหน้าที่ตอน 20:44 ได้รับคำตอบว่าเดี๋ยวจะมาดู เวลาผ่านไป 30 นาที ยังไม่มีเจ้าหน้าที่มาดูแอร์ให้ ผมเลยเดินไปแจ้งที่เคาร์เตอร์อีกครั้ง ถึงมีเจ้าหน้าที่เดินตามมาดูให้พร้อมผ้าเช็คเท้า 1 ผืน สรุปคือเจ้าหน้าที่กลุ่มแรกแก้ไขไม่ได้ มาเช็ดทำความสะอาดให้อย่างเดียว แล้วตามช่างอีกที ช่างซ่อมเสร็จเวลาประมาณ 22:00 , ระหว่างซ่อมผมก็นั่งๆนอนๆอยู่ในห้องพูดคุยสอบถามทั่วไป เจ้าหน้าที่พูดเหมือนว่าเรื่องแบบนี้เกิดขึ้นบ่อย เป็นปกติ ผมก็งงๆว่าผมต้องทำใจยอมรับให้คุ้นชินกับเรื่องแบบนี้หรอ, ระหว่างซ่อม แฟนผมก็พยายามติดต่อกับผู้จัดการไปด้วย เพราะเจ้าหน้าที่หน้างานไม่สามารถตอบคำถาม หรือ หาทางแก้ไขอื่นๆ ได้นอกจากรอซ่อม (เช่น ถ้าซ่อมไม่ได้จะให้ไปนอนไหนเพราะห้องอื่นๆเต็มหมดแล้ว รอซ่อมนานเป็นชั่วโมงแล้วมีชดเชยอะไรไหม) เจ้าหน้าที่หน้างานบอกให้โทรศัพท์คุยกับเบอร์ ********** ซึ่งยังไม่ใช่ผู้จัดการอยู่ดี ตอบคำถามไม่ได้เช่นกัน ได้แต่ย้อนถามมาว่าช่างยังไม่ไปดูหรอค่ะ(แฟนผมถามชื่อคนที่คุยด้วย เผื่อได้คุยกับผู้จัดการ แล้วจะได้เช็คว่าที่คุณแจ้งมาตรงกับนโยบายการให้บริการของโรงแรมไหม เจ้าหน้าที่ที่คุยด้วยบอกไม่สะดวกให้) แล้วก็โยนให้ไปคุยกับแอดมินเพจใน FB พอติดต่อไปใน FB ก็ไม่ได้ช่วยอะไรเลย นอกจากแค่ถามว่ามีช่างไปดูหรือยัง ช่างยังอยู่ในห้องไหม คือที่อยากได้จริงๆไม่ใช่การชดเชยหรือเงิน อยากได้ยินคือ “คำขอโทษ/ขออภัยในความไม่สะดวก และความรวดเร็วในการบริการแก้ไข” ซึ่งไม่ได้ยินและไม่ได้เห็นเลยตั้งแต่ระดับล่าง, โทรศัพท์คุย หรือ ทาง FB ในทางตรงกันข้ามห้องพักเพื่อนราคา 800 บาท ห้องน้ำรั่ว เค้ารีบขอโทษ จัดการซ่อม พอซ่อมไม่ได้ เค้าจัดการหาทางออกให้ หาที่พักอีกที่หนึ่งให้ทันที อยากแนะนำ 1. ผมกับแฟนเข้าใจว่ามันเหมือนอุบัติเหตุที่ไม่คาดคิด ทางโรงแรมก็ไม่อยากให้เกิด แต่เมื่อเกิดแล้วคุณมีวิธีการจัดการยังไง ผมรอครึ่งชั่วโมง ยังไม่มีใครมาเลย ต้องไปตามอีกรอบ ระหว่างซ่อมก็ให้นอนรอในห้องที่ซ่อมนั้นแหละ ปิดแอร์ สบายใจเลย, ความรวดเร็วในการแก้ไขไม่มีเลย 2. เจ้าหน้าที่ระดับล่างการบริการอาหาร เสิร์ฟ การต้อนรับพอใช้ครับ แต่เรื่องการจัดการแก้ไขปัญหาหน้างาน ช่องทางการร้องเรียน ช่องทางการติดต่อบุคคลที่มีอำนาจในการตัดสินใจเรื่องแบบนี้ คือ ไม่มีเลย, มีแต่โยนกันไปโยนกันมา 3. WiFi ห้องข้างหลังก็ไม่ถึง ต้องเดินมาเล่นที่โซนรับประทานอาหารถึงจะใช้ได้, ก๊อกน้ำ/ที่แขวนสายฉีด/ฝักบัว น่าจะต้องดูแลความแข็งแรงนะครับ มันโยกเยก ใกล้จะหลุด 4. ถ้าราคาแบบนี้แพงเกินการบริการครับ ทำเลที่ตั้งคุณอาจจะดีติดทะเล แต่การบริการแบบนี้ ผมไปนอนห้อง 800 ยังสบายใจกว่าครับ ขอบคุณครับ

I liked the hotel. Clean, delicious and adequate breakfasts, Beautiful girl on the respiratory. Very powerful but controlled air conditioner. Some towels (3) and plus beach . Cleaning, and water every day. Shop with ATM! next door. Sea is also in two steps. 4ofe,ai at any time, the ditch is always hot in the hall. There is a powerful refrigerator.

This is a split review. The hotel is every bit as spectacular as it looks in the pictures. It’s built on what appears to be a giant sandbar coming out of the east coast of the island and is beautifully laid out with the restaurant at the tip to make breakfast and dinner a visual experience. The rooms are great and like most others suggest I would pay up for the beachfront so you can get the best of nature and especially sitting outside for the slow sun rise if you’re an early bird like me. The hotel is located perfectly - a 2 minute walk from the village. Thereafter everything becomes a bit difficult and it’s like the hotel is battling to take away from you what it has given with the surroundings. The shower is barely more than a trickle and is annoying because you need 3 or 4 per day with the heat and sand. The breakfast is awful - too spicy, covered in flies, overcooked or soggy and old. Note though that the evening restaurant is excellent. They charge to use their bikes and kayaks. Don’t do that Silvalai, it’s cheap. There’s not enough water in the room so you are compelled to buy the premium brands. They have 3 shops but I’ve never seen any of them open. The pools are lined with plastic not tiles. There’s quite a lot of rubbish lying around on the pier-side walk to the village. Koh Mook is a great place to spend 3 or 4 days and if you do come Silvalai is the best option, and I enjoyed it, but they are several tweaks away from being a top resort in my opinion.

We were going to stay here for 5 nights, but the first night was not available, so a little bit at the resort, and there was a room of less quality than we had booked, but we received a lot of money back. The houses were fine, located in a large garden that was well maintained. In the garden you could also be massaged, was delicious and very good! No breakfast was served but coffee was served, so we bought a stock of cookies. You've got to walk a quarter of the forest for lunch and dinner, and you came out at Fisherman's Kitchen, a excellent and cheap restaurant, and the evening we went to a kind of bar for non-Muslims. You could also take cold beer to the bungalows. The resort is remote and only suitable if you rent a bromstube at the resort to go over the island, then you have all freedom. You can also book a private tour to visit the whole island or book a boat for a dugong tour. A walk across the backland is also a recommendation. In fact you have enough 3 to 4 nights here. The staff is very helpful. A storm did not allow you to travel to a next island, but there was an excellent alternative to the mainland: 5 different means of transport were connected by minute on the next track.
