Globalement séjour satisfaisant mais ne vaut pas le prix Positif : Vue de l'hôtel imprenable sur la mer Chambre spacieuse et plutôt propre Petit dej correct sauf boisson chaude Négatif : - Emplacement : Hôtel situé à l'extrémité de l'île et difficilement accessible à pieds car de nombreuses pentes pour rejoindre l'hôtel. Il faut prendre une navette proposée gratuitement par l'hôtel de 18h à 20h seulement. Heures de départ aléatoires et retour non garantis ... donc j'ai dû à chaque fois prendre un tuk tuk (50bath) Idéal donc pour ceux qui veulent s'isoler de la walking street... - Accueil : personne n'est venue me récupérer au port de Koh Lipe alors que le service était compris dans le prix ... Les propriétaires (couple Thaïlandais et Allemand) très froid et hautain... je demandais des renseignements sur le chemin à prendre pour atteindre l'hôtel et la bonne femme me regardait faisant mine de ne pas comprendre et m'a répondu sèchement accès par la plage... cette attitude n'est pas a l'image de l'hospitalité des thaïlandais donc très déçue! La seule personne à avoir communiqué est la jeune fille qui travaille avec la proprio (merci à elle) - Hygiène : un cafard a été retrouvé dans ma salle de bain le dernier soir du séjour et odeur nauséabonde venant des toilettes Les draps sentent le propres mais sont en mauvais état (tâche de café et déchirés)

裝修陳舊，水有一股怪味，也沒有隨時可供服務的餐廳和酒吧，房間佈局一般，它家蚊子特別多。實在是因為訂不到房間才住的，隔壁的ten moons 服務特別好、裝修好啥沙灘好，忘記就差四百，簡易1100還是選別的

Beautiful property, wonderful views and amazing staff. Every one was kind and helpful. Breakfast had lots of choices with the selections changing daily. Our favorites were the fruit and traditional Thai food. Can't wait until my next visit!

This hotel is to avoid !! We paid more than S$200 per night for a rotten room !! When we arrived the bed sheets was dirty, the toilets was dirty too. In the bathroom the miror the sink was also dirty and all the shower head system rusty !! First day, despite the condition we asked nicely to them to change the bed sheets and clean the toilet. They did it. Then we realised that the safety box had a problem. A rude German guy came into the picture ( the lady boss husband apparently) and explained us that the first row of number don't work. He clearly showed that he wasn't happy with our requirements but how we could know ?! Second day my husband take the room chair to the balcony since only 1 long chair was there . He Is very skinny and he is 57 kg only. He was talking on the phone and the chair broke! He almost got badly injured and got a big bruise on his arm. Not even one time the boss or the manager apologize towards us ! Why? Because it was New Year and the whole island was fully booked ! We tried to be honest to run away from this place but we couldn't ! I don't understand this kind of mentality, we could have been really angry but we never ! After that every day the German guy said hello to everyone excepted us ! Was it too much to request a clean room ? I really don't understand the nice comments below, maybe they was lucky because so far most of the customers complained about this hotel during our stay...

Just Facts about Kathalee Kho Lipe from hospitality expert. Most people write about their holiday feel not actual hotel facts which you pay for.. Location good on the beach, windy side of island. Very nice restaurant next door @ ten moons resort. Breakfast same menu everyday but not bad , good variety of fruit, and good pancake (bread is the worst) Bathroom the worst condition, old, dirty and no air vent neither room or bathroom ( warning: don't take a sh*t), water for sink and shower it stinks like sewage same smell outside of your room... can't wash anything as it smelled worse after washing... Beds must be over 20years old with worst condition of mattress I have slept, spring going in to your body, and I am slim, low weight... Mosquito big problem due to sewage... Overall very dirty island Kho Lipe... Sadly, we pay Europe hotel price per night and you get very very poor quality accomodation...180$ per night is not cheap... warning, rooms sold as sea view when they are not....crooked people....sadly these people don't think on renovation and that is not hospitality but greed...( resort quality, that's what we pay for, not fake smiles)

The views from each room are superb. For me, it is worth getting a superior room if in budget. The hill means it’s a long haul to get there if you have mobility issues but once there the view is outstanding both from the bed, and the balcony. The rooms are clean and well kept and the staff are very very helpful. The owner could not have done more for us! You can borrow snorkelling kit there, as well as kayaks. The beach is beautiful (if small) there, but 100 times better than the terrible view of a ‘boat park’ along the rest of sunrise beach. I would recommend without hesitation!!

We had a lovely time at Kathalee. Snorkeling equipment, Kayak use for free, and plenty of guidance and friendly service from all. The setting and almost private beach, a little away from the many noisy long boats was idyllic. Incredible restaurants right on your doorstep and Walking Street a chip n a putt away if you wanted to try something different. The room had a view second to none. It was clean, light and with its own little balcony through big sliding doors, made for the most beautiful sundowners and the sunrise each morning over the sea was spectacular. We will be back.

The hotel’s location is by far the best on the island. Only three hotels are privileged to be in this part of the beach nestled between the rocks. It boasts white powdery sand, verdant foliage to shade from sunshine, and easy access to swimming areas with no tail boats in sight. Guests staying at the Serendipity and Ten Moons hotels often come to Kathalee’s part of the beach and sometimes rent a sunbed, which says a lot about the resort’s location and comforts. Serendipity’s beautiful corner is too narrow to accommodate sun loungers, while Ten Moons hotel has some beach chairs, but in a deep and impenetrable tree shade. The Kathalee Resort is more accommodating offering bean chairs, umbrellas, and sunbeds for relaxing sun lounging. The lovely couple that manages the resort made us feel very welcome by providing valuable advice about navigating the island or exploring the underwater realm. Snorkeling off the beach in any tide is possible, though the low tide will give you a better view of coral fish. We easily found the “Nemo” fish (clownfish) with the help of our host who readily shared his insights. The breakfast, though basic, is healthy and sufficient with all usual options covered and freshly brewed coffee to accompany it. And, yes, the resort does have a drip coffee machine. The hotel offers a free shuttle to the walking street in the evenings. If you have enough stamina to brave the slopes, it will take you only 10 minutes to get to the busy part of the island, plus there are some shortcut options. There is no need to dress up on any occasion, flip-flops are the only pair of shoes you’ll need during your stay. The hotel gave us every opportunity to truly enjoy the minimalist and unencumbered lifestyle, beautiful lush nature, and crystal-clear turquoise waters.

Booked via AGODA from 30th December to 5th January. Run-down condition of bathroom room. Hotel general condition is in poor condition/lacks good maintenance. Breakfast also simple and basic. No one showed how to operate the TV/satellite system or the room safe until I asked after check-in. No demo how to operate either. Foot-bridge to corridor was damaged/rotten on one side posing safety risk to residents. Bathroom wall tiles cracked. What is the use of just 1 deck-chair on the balcony ? There should be minimum of 2. Corridor very dark and the floor-way tiles to entrances right along the entire block to our door are broken and pose a risk to residents safety. During the windy nights the corrugated iron roof sheet was making loud thumping noises like door being loudly shut. Also sounded like fireworks (New Years1). Could not sleep properly for 2 nights! How on earth can AGODA list this place? It is like a "dump" ! This place is poorly managed. After 2 nights there I informed the Management on 1/01/23 am checking out on 2nd and moved into the hotel next door. Asked for refund but management said "noting to do with them, have to contact AGODA". Upon check out there was no documentation/receipt given to show that we checked out earlier than booked despite my asking the management for a receipt. Agoda must get its due diligence act together. How on earth can it list such a poor value hotel? This place is the equivalent of a scam . Just try and see how difficult it really is to contact AGODA with a complaint: it is not at all easy. AGODA you have failed in your due diligence and are obliged to pay refund for the 3 nights i did not stay there. Get your act together !
