Grand Kodai SR Inn

It's very near the city, rooms are good and there is no disturbance we can have a peaceful stay here. Sun-day there is a market near the location so cars need to park somewhere else till 7pm rest all days no issue in parking they have good parking space. We took a triple bed room and it's neat and good. Television working with all channels. 24 hours heat water available. I would suggest for family stay.

Location is near to lake and bryant park. But there is a market in front of hotel and especially on sun-day the market is very rush and parking and cab facility will not be there from hotel. To take cab we need to walk half kilometer on sundays. Room service is worst. Restaurant os not there in the hotel so during holidays there will be more tourists and getting food will be tough. Even coffee in morning is also tough to get as coffee shops were opening after 10am in kodaikanal which is the worst part. On the whole with these facilities the rent for the room is too high. Don't go for this hotel.

The property is managed by the municipality of the kodai kanal town and is located near the main street of the town and close to major tourist attractions. They offer clean rooms with basic amenities. It is a lodge and they don't have a restaurant with them. But there are multiple resturants in its close vicinity. There is a television in room but again it doesn't have any hindi channel subscribed so it at times becomes boring. They will not offering mineral water bottled while filtered water in their dispenser will be kept in the room. There is a fish market nearly so at times there is a smell that comes when you move out of the room. The staff managing the room are local people and language can be a barrier to explain to them your requirements. If you are ok with a budget hotel than it is good. The staff managing the lodge needs to be a little bit clean and well dressed. Overall a good location and the room that was allocated to me was a family room which was sufficient for me to just spend night and spend the rest of the day to hang around and explore the town.

Property is good. Parking facility is there. Room cleanliness is also satisfactory. All amenities are good, 24hrs electric heater is there for hot water. Drinking water is also there. Food facilities is not available from the hotel staff. But you can go out and easily found the options for eating at good price.

Issue with hot-water not coming regularly wait for each and every time, it takes more time to take bath apart from that all are good

Great location! walking distance from kodai bus stand, kodai lake and the food joints. Spacious room and bathroom, both were clean. Friendly staff, though english / hindi can be a challenge at times. Worth the price.
