Very beautiful and luxurious hotel near the border of Germany and Luxembourg. Exquisite and very tasty breakfast and dinner, spacious and well equipped rooms and very friendly and hospitable staff. Tip: the room with the outdoor jacuzzi with an amazing view over the valley and a beautiful view of the stars at night.

Heerlijk welkom geheten op deze prachtige plek net over de grens bij Luxemburg in de groene Eifel. Familiehotelletje met 10 kamers en een goede keuken. Kamers zijn helemaal prima, lekker ruim. Wij hadden de kamer met jacuzzi maar de volgende keer gaan we toch voor de kamer met het mooie terras aan de vijver. Deze allervriendelijkste familie die dit hotel runt heeft ook nog een boerderij. Het is dus hard werken voor hun. Hun liefde voor het platteland proef je terug in het heerlijke ontbijt en het diner. Een verblijf voor enkele dagen in dit kleine hotelletje is helemaal prima. Het heeft ons aan niets ontbroken en we voelde ons meer dan welkom.

Begin juli hebben we een week doorgebracht in dit kleinschalige boutiquehotel. Ik was op zoek naar een vergelijkbaar hotel in Luxemburg maar dit soort hotels zijn zeldzaam. Genusswerk ligt net over de grens bij Vianden en is daarmee een prima locatie om ook Luxemburg te bezoeken. En direct vanuit het hotel zijn mooie wandelingen van 2-4 uur mogelijk. Onze kamer (4) is heerlijk ruim en heeft een zitje vanwaar je over de tuin en de heuvels uitkijkt. De badkamer is prima en heeft een heerlijk grote douche. Het is een prettige ruimte om een week in te verblijven. We hebben gebruik gemaakt van de half pension optie waarbij een dagelijks wisselend 3 gangen menu wordt geserveerd. Het diner is goed maar het is geen verfijnde keuken. Alles wordt zelf gemaakt maar het mag van mij lichter. Ontbijt is ook prima. Er is een fijn terras en ook in de tuin zijn mooie zitjes gemaakt. Verblijven bij Genusswerk is niet goedkoop maar voor mij wel de keus om naar terug te gaan wanneer we weer in de buurt zijn.
