First point to note is if you book a holiday in Kos in late Aug and Sep, then expect strong winds from the north (we didn't know this). This hotel is on the north coast. We were in Kos for 10 days and half the days had cool north wind, so red flags were out and sun bathing was not comfortable. We had room 812, which was a nice enough room, but there was no sofa bed, despite this being in the room description. We got an email from the hotel on the morning we arrived telling us this. We booked this room so we could use the lounge as an extra bedroom with the sofa bed set out. In the end we got a small portable bed in the room, not great. Rooms 811 and 812 are advertised as seafront with sea views and private pool. There is a white screen between the rooms pool and the sea front. When you are out by the rooms pool, you have no sea view unless you get up and walk to the screen in front of the room or go upstairs (see pictures attached). The room faces north and the sun deck is mostly in the shade all day, so you have to move the beds onto a thin ***** of grass on the other side of the pool, where there are no umbrellas. Back and forth moving beds along a narrow ***** at the edge of the pool is not ideal. If the hotel management extended the garden by 2m and added a sun deck with umbrellas in the sunny area and took the white screen away, this would be a great room. The staff are great, very friendly and very helpful. Lia in the beach bar was exceptional. Food was very good in the buffet, but the all inclusive only includes one evening meal in the taverna per week. Lunch in the taverna was good. We were there for 10 days, so could only go to the taverna once for free in the evening. We did eat twice in the Ithaka restaurant and the food was excellent, but this is an extra charge. All in all, a good hotel, excellent staff, good food, but for us it was spoiled by the high room cost which failed to deliver.
