Marmari Beach Hotel

We are currently staying at the hotel, having read the reviews I did try to rebook our holiday and move to a different hotel, this was not possible therefore I was apprehensive about our arrival. I did email the hotel prior to arriving to request a refurbished room. This request was granted and much appreciated given reviews I had read about old rooms. In summary I am really pleased with our experience at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to any request made. The refurbished room was of no concern, it is still quite a basic room but it has all required facilities and it is modern. It was cleaned daily (beds made and room tidied) towels were not changed daily. The hotel is extremely clean and tidy. Staff are always about cleaning. There are 3 pools to choose from, there have been no issues getting a bed, later in the day is busy but we have still managed to get beds. I have not experienced bed issues early morning as others have suggested. The beach is very very nice! The main buffet offers a variety of food, each evening there are different food available, it is not repetitive. The snack bars during the day was a let down for us, the food os quite basic and repetitive however the main buffet is open lunch hours and that offers a variety of food, very tasty day and night. The taverna also carte restaurant we visited tonight, lovely menu and delicious food. We have not yet tried the other ala carte (green and grill) There is a third restaurant advertised and we were disappointed to find out when arriving it had been closed approx 1 year. Childrens entertainment is fab, my two year old enjoyed day and evening entertainment, TUI blue staff work very hard. The grounds are really nice and well Kept. There’s 0-3 baby activities (we didn’t use so can’t comment) also a 0-3 stay and play which my son enjoyed with us. There’s also a baby room to access during the day with toys, my son enjoyed. There are older activities too such as tennis, golf, clubs, day time activities with blue staff, all children playing looked like they were having fun. If you want a 5 start hotel then don’t book this hotel this is advertised as a 4 star, personally I think this is a 3 star plus however there are aspects which I think meet 4 star. If you do book then don’t write a negative/ harsh review as this is an affordable hotel with many positive aspects, a lot of reviews I read I think degrade the hotel and from experience we have had a nice family holiday at a very decent price. Rooms- We paid quite a lot for this holiday, £7,000 for 7 of us to be exact, one being a child, the newly renovated rooms were nice, modern and kept cool but the balcony a bit small. Rooms weren’t cleaned everyday just the bed made and the towels folded, The towels weren’t swapped either which was odd and our floor was still sandy from the people before us, our air con leaked the first night, drip drip drip all night but then stopped after that and it was fine. The pool was fab for aqua fit and the swimup bar was really good with nice staff in, the pool bar smelt very odd like someone had threw up. Waterpolo is not allowed for under 16s which was the whole reason we booked it for my nephew! The rep said no he wasn’t allowed but he can do it tomorrow and then when tomorrow came the other fitness rep said he definitely couldn’t do it and she didn’t know why her colleague had said that. Really annoying FOOD- awful , can’t even explain it was funny in the end we all had to laugh otherwise we could cry. The main buffet was the same every night pork steak and raw potatoes and rice that was under cooked ( still hard) I had noodle soup last night and it was just boiled water with noodles in. We ate in the green and grill and it was absolutely disgusting I wouldn’t even feed it to the stray cats. Tried to cut the steak but it was impossible. And the potato with cheese and onions was cold in the middle? And the soup was like boiled sick. most comical restaurant was the Greek taverna mmmm cold chicken , wait for it it gets better my brother ordered the beef, and it come laying on a bed of ready salted crips ??? Crips ? With beef ? Why on earth did they not just put fries or potatoes with it? Baffled. Entertainment was awful so we went over the road to the Alexander bar, The staff really were lovely but I would not stay here again, I’m giving it 2 stars because of how much we laughed over the awful food it was none stop belly laughing! And the staff in the pool bar were fab and at the reception bar. Maybe we’re used to better food in the uk? I’m not sure, it’s Greece at the end of the day, undercooked bacon and sausages every where you go. Kos town was lovely though So I would stay there if I was to ever go back. Ps set you alarm for 6:30am if you want a sunbed for the day and book the awful restaurants on the first day you arrive or you won’t get in but maybe that’s a blessing lol!

We’ve just returned from a weeks holiday at this hotel. It was our second visit, the fist being 10 years ago. Overall, the hotel is wonderful. Very clean around the communal areas and the beach and pools are absolutely stunning. The food in the restaurant is delicious and there is a wide range for vegetarians and meat eaters. Most of the staff are very friendly, especially the guy on the beach who has to put up with a lot of verbal abuse from people who are trying to reserve sun beds. Some of the staff at the pool bar by the main restaurant spent a lot of time on their mobile phones and we even had to wait a few times for them to stop texting before we were served. The women lifeguard at the same pool spent most of her time on her mobile (unless guests or management were walking past). Goodness knows if anyone actually needed saving!!! When we stayed at this hotel 10 years ago we had to move rooms twice over the week. In hopeful anticipation that this wouldn’t happen again we booked a double room, hoping for one of the newly refurbished rooms. I even emailed the staff before hand. Instead we were given a dirty, ant infested room, which frankly was only a two star room. We couldn’t even open the wardrobe door because of the poor layout. When we spoke to staff they said that the hotel was fully booked and there was no chance of changing rooms. Overall, this hotel could be a five star resort. It is being let down by the lack of refurbished rooms, a few lazy staff members and selfish customers. We will return again, but only if we could be guaranteed decent accommodation.

Been here for 4 days so far. It’s very relaxed during the day, absolutely terrible at night. It’s too quiet. There’s 0 entertainment and it’s really depressing for anybody aged 18+. Lots of people playing cards. It’s similar to an old fogies home past 7pm. Shawn mendes music most evenings which isn’t to everyone’s liking at all. Can hardly get a seat outside it’s just crawling with foreign nationals in groups that make the atmosphere feel very unwelcoming as they are so incredibly rude and full of self importance. This isn’t a 4* hotel imo. It is very clean and the staff are very friendly… but it’s not a 4* hotel. I’d say a good 3*. Cocktails at the bar are not to a 4* standard, and the beer is not as good as what you’d get in a bar over here, it’s Dama, not Mythos. No branded spirits either. Optional cocktails come at a cost because they “take more time to prepare”- €8.50 for a mojito which I think is abit steep- only €5 opposite at a sports bar, much bigger measure and quite good. As most reviews state… it’s being renovated so some rooms are abit run down. The food is okay, there could be a bit of a shake up most evenings as it’s very repetitive. I feel as though this hotel is very catered for persons who aren’t British. This stands out a mile too. Sunbeds aren’t too bad to find but the main family pool is extremely busy. The pool bar smells a bit aswell. Lots of people reserve sunbeds and get very territorial over it. Beach is nice, again- territorial sunbed users. Beach bar is very good for what it is, staff are lovely down there. Wouldn’t return here overall, but we’ve had a lovely time regardless. **i’ve also witnessed several different nationality people kick the hotel cats at the smaller pool at the front today. Really unnecessary as these animals keep the hotel free of vermin, they aren’t nasty, and they are well looked after. They like a bit of love and attention and come to people willingly. I understand not everyone is a cat lover but there’s no need to kick the cats. Just shows you what type of clientele are staying here. Rude and nasty. Horrible.

We travelled as a group of 13 (10 adults, 3 toddlers) arriving on the 17th August 2022 at approximately 10pm, meaning the restaurant was closed, much to our delight we were given food bags full of sandwiches, salads, fruit and sweets. Reception staff were helpful in explaining how to get to our rooms, the resort is very big and in the dark this was quite difficult, one member of staff offered to show us to our room and helped to carry our luggage. Our room was upgraded due to our wedding package, two double bedrooms, the comfiest beds and pillows, walk-in rainfall shower. All spotlessly clean, these standards were maintained throughout our stay. Some of our guests weren't happy with the rooms they were given; this was sorted the next morning immediately. After 1 week, we were joined by another 16 guests who were all placed into the renovated, top-quality accommodation. This was something that Rosanna (manager) said she would sort and she did. Moving on to food. Breakfast, lunch and dinner served in the main restaurant is some of the best we have experienced on an all-inclusive holiday. It provided a wide range of variety which also catered for the dietary needs and requirements of all our party members. The children's separate buffet was a god-send for the three toddlers within our party; allowing them to pick their own food meaning they ate more!! The snack bars by the main pool and the beach were also good for lunch. We spent most lunchtimes at the beach bar overlooking the beautiful beach, it served a wide variety of food, the souvlaki is amazing! The theme nights in the main restaurant were well thought out and gave us the opportunity to experience food we wouldn't have otherwise chosen. Pools. There a 3 main pool areas. We spent most of our holiday by the big main pool; plenty of entertainment throughout the day for the children, and for the adults. We loved the daily aqua fit and water polo, and the kids loved the frequent character walks and dances. Some of our guests preferred the pool near the restaurant as it was quieter for them. As a party of 29, in prime season, we did not struggle to get sun loungers. We could get up at a reasonable time and loungers were still available. The main pool bar opened 10-6pm, serving cold and hot drinks. Ilda and Gevit who generally worked this bar during our stay were attentive, polite and funny. Without them our holiday wouldn't have been the same, they are a credit to the hotel. No matter where you are on the complex, you are never too far away from a bar to get a drink when needed. The entertainment team work long hours, but constantly have a smile. Providing games and fun throughout the day, and shows of all kinds in the evenings. We were a bit apprehensive before arriving that the entertainment finished around 10.30pm but this made no difference to our holiday at all, a previous review said that the lounge bar was a long walk from the ampitheatre however I can confirm that it is not. it was a very nice time, all the staff are very nice, cheerful, attentive and always helpful, highly recommended. The food is also very tasty and there is always a large selection, with something for everyone. There are lots of ways to keep yourself busy, you can go to the pool, play football, play tennis, play mini golf and much more. At the fun pool, which also has 2 slides, there is also a pool bar, which is highly recommended, everyone there is very attentive and friendly, they remember what you have drunk and refill your drink immediately when you have finished. The complex is simply perfect! We would be happy to come back any time!

This resort was chosen via my niece and her now hubby, Mr & Mrs Rose, what a perfect choice. The resort is clean, well maintained with plenty to do and near by shops, bars/restaurants, tavernas and excursions should you fancy a little change of scenery, not to forget a local bus service into Kos town and nearby access to a beautiful beach. Our room was clean and comfortable, the cleaning staff came daily to which we were always greeted with a friendly hello and smile. The food was delicious with plenty of choice for both adults and children. Zografina the restaurant manager always greeted us with her beautiful smile and was on hand should you have any questions. Both she and her team were very efficient on keeping the main restaurant clean and tidy, believe me when I say that was quite the job. A big shout out to Darius, Mario, Ida and Eva, four young, very hard working bar staff who made our evenings very memorable with lots of fun and laughter. These four beautiful humans have great work ethics and not only show respect towards each other but to their guests too, they are truly a great asset to this resort. Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all at the Atlantica Marmari Beach Resort who took part in making Mr & Mrs Rose’s wedding a fairytale come true and for a lifetime memorable vacation for all the wedding party. 😍
