Sockerslottet Hotell

Beautiful quiet small hotel with excellent friendly and helpful service. Just a short walk away from doning possibilities. The nicest bathroom and appealing bedroom with comfortable beds. Stunning windows in this old renovated church. We will be back!

We spent three nights here in November 2023 and our stay was fabulous. We have lived in Europe for over 12 years and stayed in plenty of hotels. This was one of our best experiences. The hotel itself is small and quiet with great parking. Our room was clean, and spacious for the two of us. Just about everything inside looks new, including the bathroom, carpets, furnishings, etc. Wifi was steady and excellent. There were many other extra touches that told. us the owner, Gunilla, was going above and beyond. Easy walking distance to stores, restaurants, and Kristinehamn's fun shopping district. The included breakfast assortment was typical for a European hotel and very tasty. What made it nicer was the host Roger who is very friendly and a great resource. Both Roger and Gunilla speak excellent English which was great as I don't know much Swedish. There is also a small gift shop where Gunilla sells a wonderful assortment of chocolates she has made, a specialty of hers in addition to creating award-winning cakes.

Beautiful small hotel in a converted church. Rooms aren't large but they are very clean and well furnished. Owners are very nice and very helpful. Nothing really for us at breakfast as we have dairy allergies and are vegan anyway, but I know a small boutique hotel can't cater for everyone so no problem there at all. Great location, everything walkable, decent Chinese Restaurant across the street, waterfront restaurant along the river, free parking at the hotel a bonus too. As in many hotels in Sweden the beds are very soft in the middle, but again it's not a complaint because it's very common here and I guess the Swedes like a soft bed :-) so then, overall I would highly recommend this lovely little hotel and would be happy to stay again.

Mycket trevligt litet hotell. Stort plus att det fanns parkering precis utanför. En positiv överraskning att det fanns te, kaffe, läsk, kakor, chips etc att förse sig av i receptionen. Välplanerat rum på andra våningen, det enda negativa var att det blev väldigt varmt i rummet på natten. Frukosten var inte jättestor men alldeles lagom, fanns nåt för alla smaker.

Väldigt fint och familjärt hotell. Kommer garanterat boka detta boende nästa gång man är i Kristinehamn

Sköna sängar, bra badrum med bra dusch. God frukost. Enda negativa var att det lät lite för mycket från rummet ovanför när de rörde sig i rummet.

Supercharmigt boende i unika lokaler. Mycket fina rum och service med det lilla extra. Kan mycket varmt rekommendera Sockerslottet!
